Campus areas are good offer a typical college vibe.
Some faculties are genuinely helping and supportive towards students.
Dislikes
some colleges lack basic drinking water facilities due to which students have to suffer.
Placement Experience:
My college offers placements to the students. There is a particular cell which is dedicated towards providing placement opportunities and internship opportunities to the students. There is also a placement fair organised in my college in which 40 companies participated and offer internship opportunities to first and second year students and placement opportunities to third year students.
So first of all its about the location..as it lies in north campus .you get the exposure. And can enjoy the north campus vibes having a variety of students with diversity
The second thing i liked the most is its faculty. Commerce faculty is genuinely helpful and frank which helps in fostering a positive environment.
As it is a girls college. I like the environment here .its not toxic at all and girls can feel safe here without any worry .
Dislikes
I would say the first thing i disliked is its infrastructure..all colleges lying in north campus have a very good infrastructure. But drc somehow lacks behind when it comes to infrastructure
The next thing is the canteen food..although its getting better now plus the water cooler do not have clean and hygenic water to drink .
Fee hike is also a thing...all the colleges in north campus have a fee of 14 to 15k regardless of their course.but drc makes it till 34k so that makes it difficult for some people to pay the fees.
Student Snaps:
Course Curriculum Overview:
As i was a student with commerce background. Although i wanted to pursue bcom hons but due to my cuet score i got alloted bcom program which is fair enough .my score for cuet was 743 and i was of general category. I would suggest that the subjects like financial management and business statistics should have been more practical which is already applicable in our college.
So exams are conducted twice a year
1st in dec jan and second in april and june
College campus is very attractive and best faculty for science stream
My faculty teachers are very helpful to the student
Many more internship are provided by daulat ram college
Dislikes
Commerce Department doesn't exist, now it is in progress
College timing are not favourable for long distance student
College room are smaller than the strength of the student
Placement Experience:
Placement are offered by the Daulat ram college of good companies like wipro, dell, paytm, hcl etc. If you doesn't get placement through college, you can also directly apply in company for the employment opportunities
The college student union is sooo good it organises all the events in well settled manner
Some teaching staff is very good in the college
There is hygiene maintained in the washrooms as well
Dislikes
The college administration is not so good they keep most the classes starting at 8 am which has no sense
Library is not good they do not allow to take books during exams time
Water problem the water is not drinkable at all
Course Curriculum Overview:
I filled for bcom hons but I got admission in bcom . The course how much I hoped for didn't meet my expectations and i don't think that It prepares me for the outside world and jobs in near future.you need to upgrade your skills yourself.
Bcom alone can't stand
DU north campus offers decent packages. like the averge or you may say the median package is above 7 lakh in every college of north campus , university of delhi. apart from this there is also a option of university level open placement opportunity
North campus atmosphere because all colleges boundaries r connected to each other
Exposure from different parts of India there is so much to learn nd experience from them
Dislikes
Rush nd crowd in every fests arrangements r not that good
College canteens are not that good nd expensive
Course Curriculum Overview:
I was from the commerce stream so I was pretty sure that I would choose Bcom hons or Bcom prog but the problem was that in Delhi University I needed maths to take Bcom hons in 12th I didn't have maths so I decided to take Bcom prog. In our course, there are 2 sections and on average 50 students per section is good I don't have much problem in clearing college exams because I'm pursuing a CA together.
Faculty, college life, camous life everything is good.
It's in the north campus so obviously no problems of transportation. Metro, bus, rickshaw everything is easily available
Food and beverages stalls are right outside of our college. The food is served at affordable rates and tastes way better than college canteen food. Nestle and Amul Outlet is also present in college so yes.. It's good enough.
Dislikes
Throughout the three years, we have faced infrastructure related problems. The college building is still under construction. Classrooms need to be maintained in a better way.
Although new classrooms have been constructed, yet it a very long way to go.
The library is good enough but the number of books is not very good.
Placement Experience:
The placement cell of our college is named Vriddhi. And the placement opportunities are average. Once you step in your 3rd year, the placement process begins. Lot many companies come, some with average expectations others with so high expectations that it really does happen that they go without any placements. At the end it's like the college offers you placement opportunities, rest everything depends upon your abilities.
College environment and cleanliness are also impressive
Faculty members are so good and helpful for us
Dislikes
Bad food quality in hostels are disturbing us
College canteen food prices are so high we can't afford
Infrastructure of the college is not impressive
Course Curriculum Overview:
I choose this course because I have a keen interest in BCom like commerce and industry and this is a suitable course for that. The Faculty members are very good and helpful in nature and every 6 months, we give semester exams.
events and fests organised by the college societies
Dislikes
infrastructure of the college needs to be developed with the best amenities and better capacities of the classes to hold the strength of the batch
Placement Experience:
from 2nd-year 4th semester students become eligible for the campus placements.
the companies visited are Leela residencies, Deloitte, PWC, KPMG, etc.
the highest package is 7lpa.
3 out of 10 are getting placements.
my plan after getting the degree is to grow myself in the corporate world with great opportunities and new experiences.
The environment overall is crazy as students from all over India come.
Sports is there and I mean there. Every sport is supported
Placement is good too as people have a good reach
Dislikes
Too many people are here so rush at places
Proper accommodation is hard to find here
Everyone is on their own at the end of the day.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Due to my commerce background, I was into this. Faculty to student ratio is 1:50 I guess.
Faculty have a minimum master's and a maximum of a PhD in the field
Timely exams every two months. Exams were easy but checking was tough.
