DRC Application Process 2025

Step 1: Register for the Entrance Examination

Daulat Ram College admissions to all UG & PG courses are based on scores obtained in the entrance examination. To apply for admission, candidates must register for the following entrance examinations, linked below.

UG Programs- CUET UG

PG Programs- CUET PG

Candidates applying for CUET must select Delhi University while filling out the application form. Additionally, they must choose subjects for which they have appeared or qualified in the last qualifying exam.

Step 2: Appear for the Entrance Exam

Candidates who filled out the application form must appear for the entrance examination as per the schedule.

Step 3: Registration on DU CSAS Portal and Filling of Courses and College Preferences

Candidates who have qualified for the entrance examinations register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal of Delhi University for the DRC DU seat allotment. Once the registration is done, candidates will be asked to fill in their college and course preferences.

Step 4: Seat Allocation

The seat allocation for all courses will be done in multiple rounds. Delhi University is going to release the merit lists in two categories: Common Merit List and Category 2 Merit List (for PG courses only). The Common Merit List (CML) is open to all candidates. However, for the Category 2 Merit List (C2ML), only students who have graduated from Delhi University will be considered for admission to PG programs.

Step 5: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission

Upon declaration of the merit list, candidates can check the list by logging in to their CSAS dashboard for acceptance of the allocated seat, if offered.
Once a seat has been allocated to DRC DU in a particular round, the candidate must 'Accept' the allocated seat before the last date/time in a given time period.
Once the candidate accepts the provisionally allocated seat, the college administration will approve the seat allotment by checking the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate. Upon approval of the seat allotment by the college, candidates will have to pay the DRC DU admission fee to confirm their seat.

Ques. How many Part- part-time diploma Courses are offered in DRC?

Ans. DRC offers Diploma Part-Time courses in 7 International Languages like Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and Korean. These courses are on-campus courses with total Fees of INR 18,360. These courses are for one year and they are part-time courses. These courses are at the UG Diploma level. The Registration Fees for these courses are INR 50. Candidates need to pass their 10+2 from a recognised board to get admission into these courses.

Ans. The National Cadets Corps at Daulat Ram College (DRC) offers stimulating and disciplined adventure to its cadets. Every year, the cadets actively participate in various national camps and competitions, such as Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC), Advanced Learning Camp (ALC), Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) and Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat (EBSB), to name a few. Cadets of DRC have been securing gold medals in CATC from past many years. I chose this college mainly because it was one of the better options available to me in North Campus and I really wanted a good academic environment The admission was not very difficult for me because I had a quota which helped in getting this course The priority subjects for this course are PCB but students from other streams can also get admission through CUET I got Daulat Ram College in the third round with a cutoff of around 300 marks with quota Without quota the cutoff was much higher around 450 I had applied to many colleges including Hindu College and Gargi College but I could not make it there because my CUET score did not meet their cutoff criteria The CUET system works on a preference based allocation so even though you do not receive a formal rejection mail you are automatically moved to lower preferences if you do not qualify for higher ones Technically I was rejected by Hindu and Gargi due to cutoff limitations ,In the second round I got Mata Sundri College for Sanskrit Honours and I attended it for about one week but my experience there was very disappointing There were only seven students in my course almost no activities and the environment felt dull and demotivating I did not feel happy or confident there In the first round I did not get any college at all so compared to that Daulat Ram College was a much better option Overall the admission process through CUET was smooth but stressful due to multiple rounds

I gave CUET after my boards for applying to delhi university. I approximately filled 70 preferences of colleges with course. Daulat Ram College was my 17th preference. I didn't get into colleges in top of my preference list because I didn't clear their required cutoff. In my first round of allocation I got Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm college and after applying for upgrade I grabbed Daulat Ram.
