AI-Generated Summary based on 10 Reviews

The college admission process involves an LSAT-based entrance exam and a merit screening, ensuring transparency with no management quota. The faculty is highly qualified, with notable members from prestigious institutions. Despite a 1:120 faculty-to-student ratio, over 1,000 faculty members foster a vibrant academic atmosphere. The curriculum emphasizes application-based learning with varied exam formats. The 5-year course costs 27.50 lakh, including accommodation and tuition, averaging 7.5 lakh per annum. Despite high fees, it offers robust features like faculty support and quality amenities.

Jindal Global University has an 80% placement rate, with top companies like Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Disney India recruiting. Placement packages average between 8-16 lakh, peaking at 30 lakh per annum. Internships are mandatory, though mostly unpaid, and facilitated by an active Office of Career Services, prioritizing students with higher GPAs. Scholarships based on merit and financial need, like the Savitir Jindal Merit and LSAT-INDIA percentile scholarships, can cover up to 75% of tuition, aiding students with families earning below 30 lakh per annum.

The tuition fee is about 6 lakh annually, with a 3 lakh hostel fee and a potential 10% annual fee increase, making it an expensive law degree in India but moderated by scholarships.

Tuition Fee is around 6L p.a., apart from that there are no hidden charges. The college provided lumpsum scholarship on the basis of admission test and yearly scholarship on the basis of academic performance. To qualifiy for scholarship it is important to note that your family income should be less than 30L p.a.

The total cost to pursue a BBALLB degree from OP JINDAL would be around 50 lakhs which includes all the expenses (travelling, hostel, mess, laundry). But students who score above 90 percentile in LSAT-INDIA are eligible for scholarship from the university which can range anywhere between 25 to 75 percent of the tution fee annually.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The only disadvantage of studying at Jindal is the fees. It is the most expensive law school in India. It is almost 3 times as much as average NLUs. The fee hike policy is also quite rigorous. There was a 25000 rupees hike in the fees of the freshers just after the year I took admission. Even though there are scholarships provided, it is very difficult to keep up with the conditions of it.

JGU awards Merit-cum-Means Scholarships to selected students annually. The eligibility criteria for the MCM scholarship includes annual family income, 12th board examination score, scores in JSAT or other standardised entrance examinations, and interview. Some of the scholarships are: Op Jindal Outstanding Merit Scholarships, Naveen Jindal Young Global scholarship, Shallu Jindal Outstanding Women Scholarship etc. In my first year, I was offered an internship by the Office of Carrier Services of Jindal whose stiped was 12000.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fees are probably the only con of being a JGU student as this is one of the most expensive law degrees in India. JGU provides a merit cum means-based scholarship. There have been no changes made to the tuition fee structure even during the covid induced lockdown. But the fees are worth paying as the on-campus experience and return will be worth it.
