Entrance Preview

I gave LSAT to get into this college. I scored a 92 percentile score. I chose this college for its faculty and international tie ups.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course BBA LLB is quite new in itself. Therefore, there is a lot of flexibility in its structure and that has provided the college with opportunities to explore. The focus on research in a y subject is very high. All subject's internal assessment include research based projects.

Internships Opportunities

There is CDPD dept. which looks after the internship and placements matter. They are quite efficient and have been providing students with really good internship opportunities. Apart from that there are many research centres and cells which employ students for research work as well as ground work.

Placement Experience

5

The placements are in lieu with the placements of the top government colleges over the country. The packages average around 10 lakhs. The CDPD dept. every year brings the top law firms to the campus for placements. The placements details are released by the college regularly on the college website.

College Events

5

The college is always alive with tons of events. There are conferences, guest lectures, MUNs and other events which are hosted by the many centres on the campus. Organising any event on the campus is quite easy. The administration is always supportive of students holding any kind of event. The biggest event is the annual cultural event 'Biswamil'.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have been given a Savitir Jindal Merit scholarship of 1,50,000 per annum for exceptional performance in my entrance exams.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio is in favour of females. The over all culture is very good. The sports culture is very popular with Jindal university teams winning many of the trophies in sports fest all over India. The debate and moot soc are also the most active with participation in many renowned international and national competitions.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college residential fees is 1,50,000. This is included in the yearly fees. The residential facilities are compulsory for all bachelors students. The food is average. The hostel rooms vary. I stay in a three sharing room with attached bathroom and toilet, with bunk beds. The WiFi facilities are superb. The laundary facilities are also splendid.

Exam Structure

The assessment of every subject is divided in to two parts. The internal assessment is either a continuous form or mid term examinations and the professors have high discretion on it. The external assessment is through end term examinations. Both the internal and external assesments are of equal 50% value. Some professors also go for surprise tests or oral vivas etc.

Admission

You sign up for the LSAT test and then apply to the college by filling the admission forms. Once the LSAT results are out the college contacts you as per their merit list. There is no management quota and the admission procedure is very transparent.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is the most exceptional of JGLS. Their qualifications generally include PHDs or masters from reputed universities from all over the globe. The is a high presence of foreign faculties on campus which goes with the repute of the university's global approach.

Course curriculum is completely good. It's so good that you get to know things like letter wise, so it's proper perfect and faculty is also good. They try their best to make you understand. Things can even ask them if you don't feel you got it then, and also they answer you, and they have a good relation with students like not a strict teacher kinda they're open about things and talk to students help them not such academic in their personal life. Also, so that's something good thing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty is extremely poor, The pedagogy is weak and the lectures are the least interesting. Some professors are gems in this coal mine but the wider picture is abysmal. The teachers force you to write and the use of gadgets even for notes is discouraged. There is no academic calendar and exams can happen anytime with prior notification of a month, The results are also delayed; Expect anywhere between 4-6 months of the declaration of results.

Placement Experience:

In L.L.B. (Hons.), the student becomes eligible for placement after the completion of their second year for PPOs. Also, after giving their sixth semester exams, the students are eligible to sit in placement drives. For law, top tier law firms like Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Khaitan and Khaitan, Luthra and Luthra, litigation lawyers etc. visit the campus for placement drives. Over 90% of the students are provided placements with the aid of the university. My plans also include placement through college in law firm after completing my degree.
