Army Institute of Law Mohali PG Fee Structure 2026-27 has been released. The total academic fee is ₹ 2.09 Lakhs.

Army Institute of Law Mohali Popularly known as AIL Mohali established in 1999 by Indian Army under the Army Welfare Education Society, is affiliated to the Punjabi University, Patiala and approved by the Bar Council of India. In 2024, NIRF ranked 30 in the Law category while in 2025, IndiaToday ranked 15 in the same category.

Army Institute of Law Mohali offers two law courses, a five year BALLB at the undergraduate level and a one year LLM at the postgraduate level. Admission to these courses are done based on the valid score in AIL LET (Law entrance test) conducted by the institute itself. Army Institute of Law Admission 

Army Institute of Law offers BA LLB as its flagship course. For admission to the BA LLB program candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with an aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) and also need to appear in the LET Entrance examination conducted by the institute under the instruction of AWES. Generally the application form for the LET Entrance Exam commenced in May to June. The total fee for the BA LLB program is INR 7.69 Lakhs.

Yes, civilians can apply to the Army Institute of Law (AIL), Mohali. According to AIL’s prospectus, there are seats reserved for the “All India Civil” category. For the BA LLB program, 5 seats are for general (civilian) candidates. However, for Punjab resident civilians, there are 20 seats, and their admission is based on 10+2 merit.

Admission to AIL Mohali is done based on entrance exam followed by merit list counselling and you need to have passed last qualifying exam with 45% or more to be eligible.

The registration process for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is closed now for the 2023 – 2024 academic session and the entrance test was conducted on 11th December 2022.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for both courses as the minimum eligibility set requires one to have passed the 12th standard board examination in any stream from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
