Remarks

I had applied for CLAT and LSAT. I Could not give CLAT because of covid-19. I have an LSAT online. A few days later I got 70 percentile. The first cut-off for admissions in OP JINDAL LAW SCHOOL was 75 percentile. The next was till 60 percentile. In the second cut off, I got the admission offer from Jindal for the course BBA LLB Hons.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I was always keen on studying law and was inclined towards the legal system. The exposure which law school gives also helps one develop holistically. Hence I chose BBA LLB. The faculty ratio of our college is 1:10. The faculty members of Jindal are the best. You cannot find more qualified and educated faculty members anywhere than in Jindal. There are 2 internals and a final end-term exam.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships offered by Jindal are really vast and diverse. There are different fields of internship offered. One can choose from corporate to criminal law, from in-house to litigation. The best law firms in the country offer internships and the best lawyers pick associates from here.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement cell at Jindal is really helpful in getting internships as well as placements. You can easily get internships in various fields. The placement is also good. In 2021 a new record was made for zero-day placements. The students of the 4th year can sit for zero-day placements and the final years as it gets campus placements. The average package offered at Jindal is 12-15 lakhs. Around 20-25% of children get places.

Fees and Financial Aid

The only disadvantage of studying at Jindal is the fees. It is the most expensive law school in India. It is almost 3 times as much as average NLUs. The fee hike policy is also quite rigorous. There was a 25000 rupees hike in the fees of the freshers just after the year I took admission. Even though there are scholarships provided, it is very difficult to keep up with the conditions of it.

Campus Life

5

The campus life at Jindal is spectacular. There are many fests from time to time. The main being the annual fest BISWAMIL and the sports fest MAGNUS, which are the two biggest fests in Jindal. Jindal has world-class facilities. There is literally everything you can imagine, from a swimming pool to all courts and pitches to a yoga center, etc. The classrooms are really good and equipped with the best infrastructure. There are around 15-20 societies in Jindal one can choose from.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel is also one of the best hostels in India. There is a common room on every floor where one can chill, a library too at every floor to read. The rooms are good and there is an attached bathroom with every room. The food court is really good and the quality of food is also hygienic.

Course curriculum is completely good. It's so good that you get to know things like letter wise, so it's proper perfect and faculty is also good. They try their best to make you understand. Things can even ask them if you don't feel you got it then, and also they answer you, and they have a good relation with students like not a strict teacher kinda they're open about things and talk to students help them not such academic in their personal life. Also, so that's something good thing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty is extremely poor, The pedagogy is weak and the lectures are the least interesting. Some professors are gems in this coal mine but the wider picture is abysmal. The teachers force you to write and the use of gadgets even for notes is discouraged. There is no academic calendar and exams can happen anytime with prior notification of a month, The results are also delayed; Expect anywhere between 4-6 months of the declaration of results.

In L.L.B. (Hons.), the student becomes eligible for placement after the completion of their second year for PPOs. Also, after giving their sixth semester exams, the students are eligible to sit in placement drives. For law, top tier law firms like Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Khaitan and Khaitan, Luthra and Luthra, litigation lawyers etc. visit the campus for placement drives. Over 90% of the students are provided placements with the aid of the university. My plans also include placement through college in law firm after completing my degree.
