Admission in Jindal, is an Admission Worthwhile.

I had appeared for CLAT as well as LSAT, I cleared LSAT and got admission into Jindal Law School. I cleared CLAT and I was getting RML NLU and some other lower-tier NLUs. I visited both the campuses and reached the conclusion for opting for JGLS as RMLU NLU had compulsory hostel accommodation which wasn't up to the mark. Eligibility for BA/BBA LLB in JGLS is to score more than 70 percentile in LSAT and an aggregate of 45% n 10+2. This year (2021) JGLS has introduced B Com LLB as a five-year integrated program. The orientation was well-acquainting and students were informed about the perks of the program and every provision at the campus.

I opted for this because it enables you to apply knowledge and skills either in management disciplines or in-law domain, or in both, thereby making this dual degree more valuable to corporate houses and businesses. The course curriculum in Jindal consists of compulsory and elective courses of a maximum of one semester's strength. The compulsory courses are designed to ensure that every student gains a sufficient grounding in the fundamental branches of law as well as satisfying applicable requirements for admission to practice. JGU is one of the few universities in Asia that maintains 1:9 faculty-student ratio and appoints faculty members from India and different parts of the world with outstanding academic qualifications and experience. Jindal is known for having one of the best law faculty in India. It is said that NLUD and JGLS have the best faculty for law in India. Jindal did not fail to take untimely examinations despite covid, it complied with all the rules set by the BCI.

The university has its portal on collpoll which notifies every student of the various internships and opportunities for which they are eligible. The OCS ( office of career services) of Jindal ensures that students get internships from time to time. The internship opportunities and eligibilities depend on the proficiency of the students. 3rd, 4th, and 5th-year students get to work under advocates and firms whereas 1st and 2nd-year students are offered internships related to drafting and researching.

The college offers PPO (Pre- Placements offer ) in the 4th and the 5th year and offers from the top 5 law firms icluding Azb and Khaitan and Khaitan, Cyril Amarchand and Mangaldas and co. , Luthra and Luthra Etc. are availed by the students. According to 2019 when 88 out of 83 students placed the rate of students getting a placement is 94.3 %. My plans after completing the program is to appear for the judiciary examinations or accept an offer given by the university.

The Programme fee and Halls of Residence Fee are subject to an annual increase of upto 10%. The fee for the academic year 2020-2021 is 6,00,000+2,60,000 wherein 2,60,000 is the accommodation charge. JGU awards Merit-cum-Means Scholarships to selected students annually. The eligibility criteria for the MCM scholarship includes annual family income, 12th board examination score, scores in JSAT or other standardised entrance examinations, and interview. Some of the scholarships are: Op Jindal Outstanding Merit Scholarships, Naveen Jindal Young Global scholarship, Shallu Jindal Outstanding Women Scholarship etc. In my first year, I was offered an internship by the Office of Carrier Services of Jindal whose stiped was 12000.

BISWAMIL is one of the biggest cultural fests of the country wherein students from all around the country and some prestigious foreign colleges show up. We are given the best facilities in terms of resources we are given the subscription of every paid resource online and unlimited access to the Jindal's Global Library. The students from various Nlus look upto the resources being provided in the college. The classrooms are equipped with the latest technology of teaching. Jindal is known for the amount of exposure it gives to its students. There are numerous societies and clubs. The moot court society is one of the best societies of Jindal.

It is compulsory for the students to accommodate on the campus there is every cuisine of food made available in the mess. There are a few tuck shops and eating joints on campus, There are three sharing rooms with a washroom and three beds. Though the accommodation charges make the fee a bit unaffordable but Jindal has the best facilities if one can afford it.
