JGLS Admission 2025

Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), Haryana invites applications to the candidates on the basis of merit. While some admissions are conducted on the basis of marks in the previous qualifying exam, some are done on the score in the entrance exams.

How to Apply?

To get admission in JGLS, the interested candidates have to give entrance examinations like LSAT - India, JSAT - India, and CLAT-PG. Admission of the candidates in the programs like UG and PG will depend upon the merit and performance of these admission tests.

Followings are the major steps involved in the application:

Register online for their relevant entrance examinations.
Upload necessary documents along with photographs.
Pay off the application/registration fee of INR 1,500 (For BA/ BBA LLB (Hons.) programs) and INR 1000 (for LLB and LLM programs).
Receive an email as a token of confirmation.
The admit cards of such examinations will be published on the official website of the examination conducting bodies.
Based on the score and the percentile achieved in the entrance examinations, the candidates will be called for admission followed by counseling.

Ans. Yes. The Office of Career Services (OCS) at JGLS requires and assists students in pursuing at least one 4-week internship during each of their term breaks during summer and winter. Such internships are pursued by our students in a variety of organizations and institutions both within and outside the justice administration system. The internship program at JGLS is designed and administered with a vision of broadening the horizon of career opportunities that students are able to seek post-completion of legal education, ensuring that all the students can leverage the internship program towards fulfilling their diverse career aspirations. International internships at White & Case LLP (Abu Dhabi, Singapore & London offices), Allen & Overy, London and Supreme Court of Hawaii, USA. Internships in India at offices of top law firms, in-house legal departments at Indian and global corporates, start-ups, Indian and international NGOs, UN bodies, statutory bodies, research organizations, chambers of standing counsels, independent lawyers in various states and Judicial Clerkships in High Courts and the Supreme Court.

Ques.What is the Blended LL.M. programme offered by JGLS?

Ans.The Blended LL.M. is a one-year postgraduate law degree that combines online learning (recorded videos and live classes) with optional on-campus sessions. It is designed for both fresh graduates and working professionals.which is recognized by the UGC and the Government of India as an ‘Institution of Eminence’.

Ques. Does JGLS provide opportunities for exposure from the international arena, or dual credentials?

Ans. Yes, JGLS offers a very special LLM Pathway in collaboration with Seattle University School of Law (U.S.). The selected students may form a part of their final year study in Seattle and be conferred with an LLM Degree in American Legal Studies or Technology & Innovation.This integrated program reduces the total study duration by one year.The programme offers international classroom experience along with U.S. faculty mentorship and exposure to international legal systems. Slightly higher fees which can't be afforded by everyone
Slightly language issue for people who are little weak in English
Clubbing and party culture is common at all times.

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

Curriculum is industry oriented and very updated. Syllabus is quite rigorous and exams have strict checking. Exams are held every 3 months including many internal and small exams. Students need detailed knowledge of subjects to pass the exam.

What are the internship opportunities in the campus?

OCS department provides internship opportunities to all students during semester break. Top companies hire students for interships and then communicate their performances with the OCS department regularly

What are the placement opportunities in the college and highest package?

Students become eligible to sit in placements in 4th year and all top companies visit our campus for hiring. Highest package is around 25 lacs per year and average package is around 16 lacs per year usually

Yearly fees structure of the course and scholarship

I will be paying around 750000 rupees yearly after getting a 25% merit based scholarship. The yearly fees is 1000000 rupees which includes hostel fees, tution fees, mess fess and other expenses. Students can get different types of scholarship Based on merit in entrance exam and family income.

Various events and sports of the campus

We have annual cultural fest and annual sports fest. Clubbing culture is quite popular amongst the students and students council organises various concerts and events for social integration. Sports culture is also very good

What are facilities available in the college hostel?

Hostel accommodation is quite spacious and accessible. Our rooms have AC, wifi, bed, studying table and other things. Mess food is very hygienic and good. We have variety of dishes in mess for comfort of students belonging to all regions

Faculty and learning experience in the campus

Faculty to students ratio is more but the faculty is quite experienced and are graduates from the top colleges in world. Some junior professors are a bit young and slightly inexperienced but majority of them are very knowledgeable and supportive. There are mid semester exams and end semester exams.

What is the admission process of the college?

I chose this college for the exposure, experience and opportunities. I gave CLAT exam and got various national law schools but I chose this college for the amount of opportunities and networking opportunities along with quality education

Night Life

Gym, cafes ans library are open all day and night. Very eventful nights are visible with students roaming and enjoying the beauty of campus during night. We have quite popular cafes outside the college where students prefer to relax during night.

highly regulated and lack of freedom, the overall scheme of jindal lifestyle seems to have changed

Being in Law, my priority was the top 5 law schools (NLUs) but apart from them I had always placed Jindal as a priority. Others private colleges included SLS Pune, which ultimated come around to the same price. Getting in Jindal was a great decision

food is good, boys:girls ratio is almost 1:1, freedom for students is high, student life is great, nurtures academic oriented minds

campus location is very far away from Delhi so outside campus not many things to do

i chose this because they had the best chance to help me progress in further studies. most of the student's socio-economic background matched mine. the infra was great and the college life was fantastic so i chose it. the education part it is already known to be a good college and one of the best in the country. i applied to a few other colleges like flame and symbiosis and got accepted in both but chose this college because of the stated reasons. the admission process was applying in the website, listing the relevant LSAT date and then writing LSAT. when i met the admission criteria which was at least 60 percentile, i got an offer letter and then i paid the fees and joined. experience was good and easy.

There is always fun events constantly happening on campus. If you are bored there is always something to do.

Dislikes

You end up spending a lot of money on campus. But that you have to learn to control yourself.
It is very far from the city. Which can be isolating.

This college has always been my first choice. All the seniors I interviewed gave a wonderful opinion of the college and they were right. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else for the next five years. From 2025 the LNAT-UK is accepted for admission. Which is a general competency examination.

Admission:

I wrote CLAT exam and upon selection, was getting Mumbai National Law University. I was also getting reputed colleges in Delhi University. I also got a 90% scholarship from Bennett University. I chose OP Jindal over DU since I wanted to do law. I chose it over Bennett since Jindal had a much higher ranking. I chose Jindal over Mumbai NLU since it was rated at 16 that respective year. While it made sense to chose a national government college for law, but I wanted to choose an NLU only which ranked higher than Jindal, which were only the top 3 NLUs - NLSIU, NALSAR, NUJS. Since I couldn't get into the top 3 NLUs, I decided Jindal would be the next best choice. I did not get a rejection from anywhere I applied. The admission process of Jindal Law School is through LSAT , a central examination. The cut-off for college acceptance differs every year. I scored a percentile of 94%. The cut-off for that year was around 75% while now it has dropped to around 60%.

People around are quite friendly, And the college provides GYM, Sports facilities etc. Also conducts regular sport and e-sport related events.

Dislikes

I don't like the fact that cycles aren't allowed here. It would've been easier to cover the whole campus.

Admission:

I didn't give CLAT so I couldn't apply for any of the other law colleges. LSAT is the only examination that I gave and it paid me off. I won a scholarship here at jindal making my fee affordable. The ambience of this college is good.

JGLS Ph.D Law is offered as 3 Years full-time program. The minimum eligibility criteria for Ph.D are LLM with 55%. The total fees for JGLS Ph.D Law in 2025 are INR 1.7 Lakhs for the complete course duration.

The Ph.D. in Law program at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), Sonepat, is not accepting new applications for the Spring 2025 semester. The Fall 2025 intake has concluded, with the application deadline being June 25, 2025.
