Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course provides an overview of law which also lets me have another options available without spending 5 years. The curriculum does prepare the students for real-world applications, it tells us about the law and how it came into being and also has some financial courses which also helps. There aren't any improvements that I can suggest and it's fine the way it is as the course also lets us take electives in the final year for 24 credits. If one works hard and cover the course on a timely basis there isn't any difficulty.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are many companies which offer internships and intern positions most of the top law firms gives offers, there are some internships with stipend provided by the office of carrier services (ocs) and the stipend is of a maximum of 10000rs that I have seen. The internships provide a student with information that they need when they start practicing after they graduate, the roles a law internship provides is file reading, drafting papers and clientel interaction.

Placement Experience

1

There is no placement offered for my course, but I have plans after graduating, I'll give clat again and other competitive exams which provides admission in 3 year LLB or I'll do my MBA from a business school outside India and settle their itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees for the first 2 years is 626000 except to last year is 638000 is which 175000 is tuition fees for each semester and the hostel fees for the first 2 year (per semester) 138000 and for the last year is 144000 (per semester) only the hostel fees increseas in the last year by 6000 the complete fee for the course is 1890000

Campus Life

4

There are two main fests first is Biswamil which is a cultural fest and is held in October and then is Mangus which is a sporting event which takes place in March. The library is filled with vast variety of books and is sufficient. There are projectors and laptops in every class along with air conditioning and window blinds and students are allowed to use laptops in class but can differ from professor to professor some may allow some may not. You can play any sport toh like and can also give try outs to get into the college team which takes place at the start of every academic year. Most of the clubs and groups are student run there is animal welfare society, photography society, dance society, music society and many other societies.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There are water coolers on every floor there is air conditioning inside the rooms along with washroom and fans also. The food quality is usually good but sometimes the mess food is really horrid. Taking hostel is compulsory for every student except for LLM and PHD students. The hostel is on the expeive side but the hostel has laundry facilities so it coves up and there are people who clean rooms it is done through an application you have to put a request and you are allowed to choose a time slot according to your convenience and janitors will come and clean your room.

Admission

I chose this college because it is very close to my hometown and I could go home on weekends. I didn't consider any other college except this but I also got into symbiosis law school Pune. The admission process is very simple, you have to give LSAT exam after that based on your percentile you will be alloted courses and options you can choose from

Faculty

3.5

The student faculty ratio is good there are teaching assistants from the final years of their respective courses and the faculty is very approachable as they give office hours to the students to clear their doubts. Anmol Diwan is good with explaining the concepts and is very good with constitution. Asmita Singh is horrible too strict with attendance, even a minute late to class she will mark you absent. There are midterm exams which are for 50 marks and how to assess them is upto the professors and there are end term examinations which are for another 50 marks which is held at the end of every semester.

At our college IT companies have walked in like nine pins. I am not saying they are falling for us but there's have been a steep follow through of the same. Average placements are less as of now as it is a state where not many IT companies even have their offices but some of them have nailed it by bagging jobs worth 20 lakhs and more.

At JGU placements are a matter of time and also global policies are required at top global companies and so they are the ones who hired us. Also, Niti Aayog also hires studnets of our college as our college has tie-ups with them and initial salary of around 5 lakhs a year is what we get.
