Shyam Lal Evening College Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I am an aspirant and my interest is in the history, so choosed that course. From that course, I got to know more about the history of India and wolrd, that helps me a lot. I think curriculum is perfect no need of improvement.

My course is b.a programme (political science+computer application) I wasn't influenced by curriculum rather It was my 3rd choice I wanted to go in jnu and didn't manage to get selected subject .my subject combination in the course is is hard but good as computer application will help me get knowledge for working of computer and for political science helps me for me to prepare for examinations like upse ,ssc,cds,state pcs etc.For improvement Language paper need to optional for students and add geography history for general elective subject.

The course curriculum is pretty much helpful in our daily life as well as for our future development. When I came to college I was worried what would happen with our communication and other skills development but now coming into college I am assured and happy that does college takes proper care of other skill development of students as well. Student studies different skill enhancement as well as value addition courses throughout their 7 semesters in the college. Students learn many new things due to these new additional subjects which are taken by the new education policy 2020.

From 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Companies visited in this college are E&Y ,L&T, Mahindra,RBS and ICICI bank. Highest package of shyamlal college 6 lakhs per annum. 50 percent students got placements.

I want to prepare for UPSC so I opt for Ba which will help me to get bachelor degree and dont get in the way of my real goal. Faculty of the college is helpful always watch over students. Every 6 months end sem exam happens.

Placements are not good as there is no technical course here but the environment is very good as the course is focused toward goverment job opportunities there are very less companies and offers a limited opportunities the companies are usually less know or startups that need cheap labour the highesh package from here is of 3.5 lakhs per annum and the average package is of 2 lakhs there is a very little like 20% of students get placed as maximum are preparing for goverment jobs even my plan after getting my degree is to prepare for govt exams like ssc etc

I choose this course because I want to be a teacher in the future. Faculty to the student is, as usual, 70-80 students per teacher. The faculty in our college are well qualified and very helpful with students and great Teachers obviously. Exams were on date and on time as scheduled. Exams were moderate level, weren't too tough to pass, and too easy that anyone can pass without studying.

In this course, I have computer science and mathematics which are very beneficial for us. In the future there are more opportunities in this course and the placements are good average placement is 4-5 lakh. I'll do an Msc in computer science after this.

Because i want to prepare for civil service after graduation and i thought BA programme is the easiest course and it was. Computer science faculty is best, overall all faculty are good except maths faculty. Teaching methods depend on teacher,means which teacher teaching us over all good teaching method. Semester exams are held on time and its easy to pass exam student need to assure 40% marks to pass tha exam in specific subject.

The eligibility for the appearance of campus recruitment starts as soon as you are in the 5th semester. Many companies such as ICICI Prudential, Dream group provides students with internship plus job opportunities. The jobs offered are not as much satisfaction as it is for the Postgrad students but for the betterment of an individual and to gain some experience in this field one can surely opt for it. About 20% of students who want to pursue the job get the offered placements. The company has offered about 20000 INR monthly as starting packages, for the starters and provides jobs in the fields like Marketing, Human Resource Management, Customer services, Sales, etc. As I am not yet interested in doing the job but more interested in my further studies so I would opt for my Maters i.e., Post-graduation, and then avail myself the jobs offered.
