Likes
- Infrastructure of the college was top class.Along with furniture including benches,tables, almirahs,etc.
- Canteen facility is good.The prices of food are not much and their quality is better than that price.
- The teachers or professors in the college are so intelligent.They are helpful and caring just like parents.
Dislikes
- The college does not have Air Conditioners in many places like canteen or library. Even if ACs are installed,they are not properly maintained.
- Water coolers in the college works sometimes and sometimes not.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty much helpful in our daily life as well as for our future development. When I came to college I was worried what would happen with our communication and other skills development but now coming into college I am assured and happy that does college takes proper care of other skill development of students as well. Student studies different skill enhancement as well as value addition courses throughout their 7 semesters in the college. Students learn many new things due to these new additional subjects which are taken by the new education policy 2020.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities in our college are not been explored much by peoples or in simple words I don't have much knowledge about the internship program in our college. The college facilities are always trying to do betterment in every aspect. Various companies come to our colleges during the last years of students who have any specialised course and give them high packages including up to 20 lakh per annum salary job. Companies like Tata Wipro etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees of mine,i.e. of BA program is ?25,200 per year. It is a bit costlier then the other colleges of north campus in Delhi University.The course fees for most of the Undergraduate courses is almost the same.Talking about scholarships,the college allows students various scholarships,as it is a government college,for many students whose financial conditions are not good.
Campus Life
There are many society's in the college that are involved in various festivals during the whole year including sports,religious festival, parties, farewell,etc. There are many books in library including some of the most rare books in the area of philosophy and psychology. A student can easily get and ID card for library and assess books for a short period of time on his wish. The colleges famous for various sports activities and extra curricular games like hockey football and cricket. Shyam lal college also host various sport competition that are played among the various colleges of Delhi University.
Admission
The reason for choosing shyamlal College was it had pretty much better facilities than other colleges of the Delhi University including infrastructure, professors and students. Does chosen shyamlal College was pretty good idea and I was happy that I got admission in this wonderful college
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio is low in the college that is a good thing.Teachers are warm and welcoming and ready to assist students whenever they want. There are 7 exam in my course including 2 exam of major subject,1 of minor,1 of general elective(English),1 of Hindi(dsc),1 of SEC and 1 of VAC.
