My friends and classmates are very good to everyone and all love each other, share our thoughts and listen to each others things. All in together we like to live together and spend more time with each of them. Going to miss our small gang forever.
The campus of our college is very big and mesmerizing. We created and love to create more and more memories together here. It has a Chapel inside the college campus and has 3 sets of gardens like front, central and woods.
The staff and teachers are very helpful and great. They teaches us very nicely, the staffs are very helpful and enthusiastic that they like to help each of us without saying or messing with anyone. It's seems that we live as a family over here
Dislikes
I hate the college canteen as all the foods over here are given in the same plates in which non veg is given. The major problem of the college canteen is this according to me. Chai of the canteen has more water and less milk.
All the students over here are really not good as some of them are very high fii who are sobo (south bombay) kind of people. They give their own preferences every where since they lived a rich people life from the day they are born.
No body is going to help you out if you are in need. It's like if I know you then I may help you or something like that and if I don't know you then I will not be helping you out. It's just nonsense things. College doesn't provide lift to use.
Student Snaps:
Course Curriculum Overview:
Specific aspects of choosing the course was the love and passion towards nature and plants with environment. The faculty and students should allowed to play all together and try to spend time with each other. In this way a student and faculty will have a good bonding and connection. The area of improvement in course curriculum and teaching methods are very good and likely to get better. The frequency and timings of exam along with perspective on their difficulties level are moderate level and provide each types of questions and try to solve each question with little amount of answers correct.
College ambience the quad the canteen area and facilities
Blatter herbarium which is a contributing factor for my major subject studies
Supportive non teaching and somewhat teaching staff which makes the curriculum understandable
Dislikes
Pressure about constant assignment which is sometimes insufferable
Compulsion about 75 percent attendance of each paper
No lifts available for students you have climb each and every time you have to move for one lecture to another also there is no place provided other than canteen which is on the ground to sit and have a lunch so that climbing stairs is tiresome
Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum is not that good I believe though the college is autonomous and they try to change and improvise syllabus I feel there are still gaps which can be filled.
As for last semester of master course there are two taxonomy core paper which is good considering the specialisation is taxonomy but there is a not single phytochemistry paper after semester 1 which is I feel is not good considering the phytochemistry is also part of specialization.
Also under NEP college have changed the already presented biostatistic paper with whole new paper of stress physiology. Personally I think biostatistics have more scope for job oriented people than stress physiology which is very specified part of genetics, physiology and molecular biology
Frequency of the exam is 40 marks are evaluated through the means of continuous internal assessment and 60 marks are allotted for semester end examination which is centralised exam conducted under college examination committee.
The wide range of courses offered, other micro courses also available.
Access to facilities like language lab, knowledge centre, library, centre for visually challeneged.
The atmosphere is friendly and manageable, healthy competition.
Dislikes
Constant assessments and evaluation pattern.
Extra curricular activities constantly ongoing, sometimes hectic to keep up with
Attendence criteria is minimum 75% for every single paper.
Course Curriculum Overview:
St. Xavier's College, Mumbai is well known for its reputation in plant taxonomy. It also holds the Blatter Herbarium which is a hub of botanical resources. Experience of taxonomy is more closely touched while working with the herbarium and under faculty which is up to date with on-field experience.

Professors are very nice and caring . College events
College trips are very nice and well organised and planned
Dislikes
75% attendance in lecture and practicals
Course Curriculum Overview:
Botany is the subject which is in aur daily life Learning about nature and it's amazing facts made me choose the course
By taking college trips to visit industry visit.
New techniques and entrepreneurship training
The faculty is very dedicated and enthusiastic with regards to the subject
There are fields trip organised every semester with very nominal fees
You get to work on government funded projects if you are interested enough and know the subject
Dislikes
Attendence is very strictly followed, you may get debarred if not present enough.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The teaching method they use is very constructive and they believe in students learn by themselves they are only there to guide them.
There are weekly field trips organised for experiancial learning.
There are dedicated botany clubs with events.
The best college in Mumbai especially for Science and Arts
Campus Life is good. Anyone will easily make friends
Built during British but the infrastructure is very good with smart classes
Dislikes
The curriculum is a bit outdated and needs to update
Some teachers may not be very friendly or helpful.
The rules are very strict and 75% attendance is mandatory.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placement in the last year. Before that, there are paid and unpaid internships students can do. The placements are average. Highest package is around 20lpa and lowest might be around 3lpa. Average package is around 8lpa.
Also i liked how the teachers paid personal attention towards each student
Help in learning and achieving a lot of things
Dislikes
Placement Experience:
The placement of our college is very nice as we have internships and desertation periods in which we get on job training that also prepares us for the upcoming race of our life that we are gonna play .
I chose this college because it was one of the best colleges in Mumbai that offered my course. The laboratories are well equipped with different instruments required for practical purposes. The fees were reasonable as compared to other colleges. And the college campus is beautiful and unlike any other college would have.
I picked out St. Xavier's College because it's one of the best colleges in India. The microbiology department is the oldest in the country. The very successful alumni was a big factor. After a lot of research with previous students, I realized the outreach of the college in terms of jobs.
The college in the whole is a great experience for a student. It make a student independent and ready to face the challenges of the world. The education system is well structured and helps every student.
