The college and govt provides various scolarships in support of the students like inspire scholarahip for she, the college provied financial assistance to ews students.
The faculty is also super talented and have a great knowledge.
Our annual fest tempest was one of the best times of my life with dj nights, neeti mohan, several stalls and the freedom of being in a gender minority college just made everything a million times better.

Dislikes

However, speaking for the political science faculty, although they are qualified, they are highly detached from the students.
Faculty somehow as it was sometimes not that good as we thought.
Apart from a few professors, the others methods of teaching are severely outdated and biased.

Miranda House.

Likes

The Campus and the crowd. The campus, the infrastructure is amazing. College feels so good with all the trees, grounds and natural elements. Also there are people from all over India as well as many foreign students really talented, sweet and helpful
The societies. There are several societies and clubs at the college. If you're passionate about something, just name it and you'll have a society for you and people who share similar interests. Also many NGOs and service schemes like the NSS etc.
The faculty. The teachers are awesome, they're always ready to help you, and the teaching environment is really student friendly. Teachers teach in both Hindi and English for all students to feel comfortable regardless of being from any medium.

Dislikes

The ECAs. There are many societies and clubs for extra curricular activities but they all require you to pass several auditions and interviews to become a member, you are not able to learn new activities as they only take members who pass the auditio
There are no air conditioners in the library or in many classrooms, though the classes have many windows but it does get quite warm to focus on study as students really do sweat at times
No Saturday off. There are proper classes conducted on Saturdays as well, the only leave in Sunday.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell in the college which is enhancing and improving itself every year, with more and more employing firms taking part. As of now there is an average placement of 5.5LPA in the college, which will gradually increase. Even if the student is not able to acquire a placement, the college puts in several important skills in the student to secure a good career in this competitive world

My college experience

Likes

The thing which I like the most about my college is Faculty expertise, teaching methods.
Teachers are really very expert and there way of teaching is superb.
The seniors and students of my college are also very helpful

Dislikes

I don't like the water quality of my college.
There is no stationary in campus so for even a pen we need to go out.
There should be increase in numbers of seats in hostel

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Ba Programme multidisciplinary because there are three core subjects so I will have more knowledge abour different subjects. The curriculum becomes hectic due to long hours classes of sec, vac, aec and ge.

You will never regret to be a Mirandian.

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is top notch. The red walls have a legacy and the campus is awesome and this is the reason why it has been ranked 1 for 7 years .
Another interesting thing is that we have to ask professor to cancel the class as they take all the classes. Attendance is mandatory and professor are more regular than students. So it is a lot academic oriented.
The canteen is amazing and cheap . I went to a lot of colleges and I can bet that we have the best canteen food .

Dislikes

Only Ac's are not there in classes. Apart from that Nothing is there in Miranda to be disliked.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am very passionate about economics and this is the reason I took economics and history as my combination with economics as major and history as minor . Also the faculty of economics is good . Their teaching methods is excellent. Though I didn't have maths in 11th class but now I am able to understand Economics major well because of our professor . Semester Exams are kept in December and may . I believe it should be changed as we have extreme temperatures at that time which didn't allow us to study and focus properly. The internals timings are okay with me .

Campus and new life

Likes

College infrastructure is good and pretty
Atmosphere at the campus is amazing the crowd is good
Events happening at the campus is great and amazing

Dislikes

Lack of faculty and poor management needs improvement
Lack of AC’s and very poor network availability
Query process is very delaying and slow and too much paper work

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main subjects are good but the additional sec vac and aec subjects doesn't add value to the course or mind of students. They are irrelevant to the courses and students too. Additional subjects should be related to the main subject and the course and also includes practical aspects

I study in Miranda college , i am ncweb student. The thing i like the most is that , the campus is really beautiful and canteen is also nice.

Dislikes

Sometimes, the class gets cancelled at the end moment .
And on weekdays n the ncweb students hardly get any classes to sit.

MIRANDA HOUSE NCWEB ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

Likes

Professors are helpful and very understanding. If for some reasons we are not able to meet deadlines they are understanding and cooperative
Canteen food and other basic facilities are also great

Dislikes

As an NCWEB student we are not able to take advantage of facilities like library

Course has been good for me as you have achieve good marks or atleast decent marks with minimal efforts and there are interesting subject every semester like emotional intelligence or reading fiction and digital marking to make cource interesting.

Miranda House Diaries

There is a very supportive and positive environment in the college.
The faculty is so helpful and student friendly.
The infrastructure is top class which enhances learning opportunities.

Dislikes

There should be air conditioners in libraries.
The rules for entry is very strict. There should be e - I cards as well.
Sometimes tee classes are not regular for some courses.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for a placement after 5th semester. There is a placement cell in college which provides a lot of placement opportunities. Many prestigious companies like ABP news, Frankfinn, delta x, finoak, ginger partners, blue ocean, cry India, zomato etc come for placement drives in college. The highest package is 15 lakhs and average is 4 lakhs. My plans after the degree is to prepare for competitive exams.

Miranda House -A home away from Home

The infrastructure of Miranda House is much better than any other college of DU.It has good spacious classrooms and Library is the best thing in Miranda House and the green lush lawns provide ample amount of peace which every mirandian deserves.
Miranda House is as usually famous for its extracurricular activities.They are more than 40+societies in miranda house which provides a good amount of exposure to students
Recently,it started the mentor mentee club.As we live in the world of mental stress and depression and mostly the youth takes large portion in it.introducing this kind of new initiatives is only possible with MIRANDA

Dislikes

I'm not satisfied with the placement cell of Mirandahouse as it is not provide the opportunities to all courses
There is a lot of preference to honors course compared to programme.If you are the person,who opted for programme then definitely you will feel that you got ignored
Learning and getting inspired from teacher is very less as faculty sometimes only rush to complete the syallabus.Thats basic nature of any other degree college faculty

I'm not at all satisfied with the placement cell of Mirandahouse.It only provides opportunities to few courses and they completely ignore the other courses.the internship opportunities are also not at the standards everytime,they get very cheap internship which doesn't even helpful for future prospects of student

I really liked the structure of college . I has been constructed very aesthetically.
The faculty is also super talented and have a great knowledge.
The students are very enthusiastic and intelligent.

Dislikes

The time schedule sometimes is very disturbing.
Some professors cancel the class very frequently.
Not all students attend classes on regular basis.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very vast . I had opted for this course because I want to prepare for civil services and I thought these subjects would help me with that and widen my horizon. I don't really have a idea about ration but all the classes have been provided with adequate faculty to teach them . The teachers are selected through a particular exam with proper degrees. Tsrm examinations are after every 5 to 6 months and they are not too difficult to pass.

Provide a lot of opportunities to develop our skills
Du fest was too amazing and I really like it

Because of to much crowd students are distracted of our goals
Teacher's didn't focus on every single student
I think du placement rate is too low in camparision other

Placement Experience:

3/4 year students are eligible for campus placement names of companies who visited in college - tata motors, Microsoft and so many others. The highest package was gone 1200000 to 500000. 10 percentage of students get placement.
