Course Details

JMC Selection Criteria

Admission to all the above-mentioned courses (except for B.El.Ed.) is based on merit.
Admission to B.El.Ed. will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam.
The merit will be decided on the basis of the percentage secured in the Best Four subjects in the 10+2 examinations.

Procedure for calculation of ‘Best Four’ subjects percentage for Honours Courses:

Percentage will be calculated on the basis of English and three other academic subjects.
All subjects to be included in the calculation of ‘Best Four’ must have at least a 70% theory component of the exam.
If the subject to be considered does not have a 70% theory component and 30% practical component, then the marks of theory and practical shall be converted to 70% and 30%, respectively on a pro-rata basis.

Reality of JMC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the Economics Hons course because of my interest in economics as a subject, It really helps in the future especially for preparation for government exams. The faculty and student ratio is about- 1:50. The faculty of the college is really good. All the teachers are well versed in their teaching subjects. The exams are semester wise that is twice a year. It is relatively difficult to pass the exams.

Fee Structure And Facilities:

Fees are very affordable, given that it is a government college, however, slightly pricier than other DU colleges. Payment for the fees is mostly either done online or in the bank. Examination fees are charged separately and that has to be given every semester. There is complete transparency in the fee-breakdown.
