Course Curriculum Overview

4

this curriculum prepares you for the real world and intership/full time opportunities. exams are held every two weeks and difficulty increases gradually. as far as I can say this course doesn't really need improvement.

Internships Opportunities

5

prominent recruiters are Paytm, Godrej, Decathlon, ICICI Bank. ?3,00,000+ is the gross stipend, ?50,000 is the highest stipend, ?15,000 is the average stipend. There are more than 130 recruiters and over 150 offers made.

Placement Experience

4

from third year students beckme eligible for campus placements. Amazon, Flipkart, and other big and renound companies have taken students from our college. the average package is 6,00,000 per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

27180 was the yearly fees paid by me for my course in Jesus and Mary College for B.A. (Hons) Economics. There has been no other payment asked by the college as of now (for first year students) for any tution, caution or registration fees

Campus Life

4

there are alot of fests in this college. most fests ate held during festivals festive season. books in the library are a bit old. each classroom has its own projector (most of them). there is a society for people from the north east to help them better fit in.

Admission

i applied to MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher education) and secured and interview round and got a confirmed admission but the deposit wasn't refundable and my parents thought it was expensive, other than that i applied to St. Aloysius College and also got a confirmed admission but I felt as though i wouldn't fit in there, i secured an interview for St. Stephens College but wasn't alloted it during CSAS phase.

Faculty

4

There are 50-55 students in my course to one teacher. the teachers are very approachable and we have a nice relationship with them. I really enjoy the bhelpuri in the common room. As of now, there are no faculty that i dislike. We have 2 internal assessments and teacher take best of 2/3.

Night Life

5

As I am a day scholar I so not know much about night life in my college as there is not a hostel either, students has to rent PGs and the good ones fill up very quickly. There is a gym on our campus and it costs 1000/- monthly and from what I have heard it's a very good gym. the famous hang out spaces are the bhelpuri common room and sometimes the L park.

Other Applied Colleges

St Stephen's College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)

I was not allotted this college during CSAS phase.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course that I'm doing is very relevant it teaches me about every marketing term that is still applicable the teaching methods adopted for core papers is purely through marketing case studies of new age brands however for SEC VAC GE the other lower credit papers the faculty is bad as well as they don't give context before teaching and assume that their students also have the same background like humanities etc my course for my core papers is veryy good

From semester 5th students become eligible for placements. In fact they are still going on right now. Major companies that i know off which usually visit our college are Bain, DeShaw, Delloite etc. So yea majorly consultancy firms. The highest package as of now in our batch is roughly around 18LPA it could go higher maybe in the near future as the placements are still active. The percentage of students as per my knowledge is around 50% while the placements are still undergoing.

The paper has a direct influence on my future competitive examination and job.. The teaching method and course curriculum should be improved. There are unnecessary materials that has to be bought by the students which are not even helpful The timetable is not so friendly while you have a class at 8:30 then spend the whole day and take the second class at 3:30..
