Likes

i liked the college's infrastructure and the buidings
i love the faculty and all the staff in our as they are very helpful
i like the connectivity of college as it is closer to two metro stations and we can also take up the local bus

Dislikes

the increasing fee is something which i dont like
sometimes the college is very strict with its attendance policy
there is lack of hygiene in washrooms in the college

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is BA program Economics and HRM, which i think is a very career oriented course and gives us real life knowledge about how crucial the HRs are in the offical sphere, the exams are not that difficult yet not easy, thry are moderate if you refer to the pyqs

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

the year wise course that i pay is 30,000 and it increases every year last year it was around 26,000, our college has no category system, my batchmates have same fee, and yes there is college aid available for students and they can claim it

Campus Life

campus life in jmc is to kill for, we have the most beautiful campus, our library is two floors huge, our classrooms do not have an ac but we do have smart boards. a wide varety of sports is offerd in jmc, and there are alot of groups runned by students

Admission

I always wanted to be a part of jmc, i got a good course and i chose it, i also kept he locality in mind as it is a very safe area, the admission process was through CSAS portal nd then offline document verificstion

Faculty

my overall experince has been great with jmc with all the teachers and faculty members, everyone is helpful but also strict, jmc is more like a school than college, getting marks in interals are also quite difficult if you dont attend classes

Night Life

our college doenst not have a hostel so we dont have a nightlife as such but the locality is very safe at night and we have great places to hsngout like malcha marg and yashwant place and satyaniketan

Course Curriculum Overview:

Approach towards course structure is appreciable. Being a social science doesn't only means history and stuff but rather an inter- disciplinary approach towards all subject and this is what this course teaches us. For the real world preparation, we are taught with real world examples and given field level assignments. Adding more of real life ventures can be really beneficial. Exams timing are same as others, at the end of semester.

LSR - sociology Honours review

Placement Experience:

Campus Placements are competitive and hard to get. Usually multiple offers are limited to few disciplines such as Commerce or economics. While many arts students usually dont sit for placements in that high a number. Highest packages have gone upto around 45LPA, while average package remains somewhere around 12-14 LPA While companies such as BCG,. mckinsey etc do visit campus and as I said- they are more economics and commerce oriented but other discipline students also get placed- just not in these high numbers. Usually around 8-9 GPA is a good score for placemets. The employability is good in the market as the college does have strong Alumni Network and also is a recognised and reputed name in the job market.

Drc and its internship placement

Placement Experience:

Our placement cell provides us every detail about available internships. It also helps us to get every update about upcoming internships. Its my third year but ive seen people from commerce department getting pretty good internships at companies like hdfc, delloite that too with a nice amount of stipend near 8000-1000. JMC life my way

i actually did not apply to any other college , the reason being that I am pursuing ca and needed a govt college to balance my attendance along with it , govt colleges do not put a lot of burden as to attendance. so I applied to du and then created my preference list and got JMC according to it and tbh I do not at all regret coming to JMC. the admission experience was really nice , I was happy to get into DU and that too such a nice college , I think that JMC gets less recognition than it should get. admission process is through giving cuet exam, filling in the preference list and the according to the cutoff we get admission...Read More

JMC is a beauty!!

Girls college was definitely the priority and only two colleges for which I wanted to go. First was LSR and then JMC. The cut-off for LSR was 763 and for KMC it was 745.
