Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for this course is quite relevant and accurate at that. It provides you a deep insight in the working of any kind of organisation be it private or government and how and what affects it's working. When seen from the research perspective, it is the best field to embark into because it is interlinked and highly relevant in real world. The quality of classes and teaching practices however could be greatly improvised. Adding more of the practical elements - field engagement, surveys, research, on the ground studies; would be helpful for students
Internships Opportunities
A wide array of public and private companies and organisations reach out to provide for internships. In this course, the positions offered are varied, in HR, content creation, report writing, managerial posts, accounting works, research and creation is most prevalent. Companies like Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, University of Delhi, etc provide opportunities.
Placement Experience
Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees for a 4 year course would be around 15000/- per year on an average. There are numerous scholarships available on the basis of domicile, caste, merit and income. A separate fee concession committee is there for economically challenged students as well as facilities to provide for books and resources are also available. Exam fee is another regular payment which varies from 800 to 1500 rupees.
Campus Life
Annual fests such as Ecom, Poliforum, and other departmental fests are great events to atend. Seasonal festivals such as Diwali fair, Holi celebration, other fairs, entrepreneurial mela etc are main attractions too. Numerous societies and clubs are present and are quite active in competitions events workshops and daily engagement. They have a positive impact on the holistic development of students.
Admission
The admission process is quite easy you give the respective exam (here, CUET) once you clear the cut off, you'll get college seat accordingly. You can weigh your options and opt for the best suited. The process after that is streamlined, you just need to pay the fee confirm the registration and appear in the college with the required documents (which are pretty basic i.e. photo id, marksheets, etc.)
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is good and they're quite helpful and easily reachable. They're helpful at each step whether it is studies or something personal you can always reach out to them. Exam pattern is quite general there's this system of continuous assessment which includes class tests and regular presentations. Exams are semester wise and the scoring is done according - 1 year = 2 semesters = 2 sgpa = average yearly cgpa
Night Life
The college has nearest establishment that is Satya niketan which is an okayish place to hang out after college with friends. It has cafes and parks and hostels and pgs. The area nearby is abundant with sports clubs and lobhi area is there for recreational activities, gyms are easily available with flexible timings.
