Course Curriculum Overview

4

Though the curriculum has been designed to meet the real world needs like value added course, skill enhancement course etc have been introduced in aligned with new economic policy but the syllabus is needed to be modified a bit

Internships Opportunities

4

Various companies come to offer placement like Deloitte, KPMG, wipro, tcs, zomato, microsoft etc. the stipend depends upon the capabilities of students according to skill set of the students. For applying for placements firstly cv vetting process takes place by college placement society

Fees and Financial Aid

It's paid year wise 14,156 was paid in 1st year and similarly like this in other years too. It's in the range of 14,000 to 15,000 yearly in my course. Financial scholarship are given to students coming from financially weaker section

Campus Life

5

Department fest and society fests are generally held in the month of March April and may when the exams of all years gets over. The campus is too busy and engaged and fun filled like fest vibe spreading all over the campus

Admission

I got ramjas college of du from cuet. So it was only offered to me according to my marks. My other preferences over ramjas were miranda, lady Shri Ram College, shri ram college, hindu college. The eligibility criteria to apply for ba economics is having maths in class 12

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is not much high. Till 4th sem students are required to study 7 subjects then in 3rd year they have 6 subjects. Exams are conducted per semester . The exams are easy to moderate

Night Life

4

After the class students are generally sitting in lawns of the college or chilling out with friends in nearby cafes of hudson or busy market like kamla or majnu ka tila or sudama tea stall or sitting in playground

Other Applied Colleges

Jamia Millia Islamia University-[JMI] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Economics)

As it was my second priority after DU

Placement Experience:

Campus Placements are competitive and hard to get. Usually multiple offers are limited to few disciplines such as Commerce or economics. While many arts students usually dont sit for placements in that high a number. Highest packages have gone upto around 45LPA, while average package remains somewhere around 12-14 LPA While companies such as BCG,. mckinsey etc do visit campus and as I said- they are more economics and commerce oriented but other discipline students also get placed- just not in these high numbers. Usually around 8-9 GPA is a good score for placemets. The employability is good in the market as the college does have strong Alumni Network and also is a recognised and reputed name in the job market.

You name a sector and you will find that making its way in DTU. From finance the top company JP Morgan comes here, from pain sector but Asian Paints and Berger Paints are here from IT sector, TCS and Infosys are here. Hence, if one needs to work in best of companies of any sector, I think only DTU can help them get there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course mainly because I did not have many strong options at the time but I wanted to study in a good North Campus college and Daulat Ram College was one of my best opportunities I also have a genuine interest in music so this combination felt suitable for me The course curriculum is fairly comprehensive especially in NHE which is very practical I have learned useful things related to diet planning body requirements and basic nutrition which can actually be applied in real life I feel I can find a decent job related to this field though I do not have very high expectations in terms of salary At the same time the course has its limitations Being a BA degree it does not carry much weight in the medical or health sector especially if someone plans to continue till the fourth year I feel this course should be converted entirely into a BSc degree for better recognition and career value Teaching methods are mostly theory based but NHE practicals are engaging and useful Exams are not very difficult honestly If you have basic practical knowledge about the human body nutrition and diet planning you can pass comfortably Most exams focus on how well you present answers rather than extreme depth The exam frequency is not very manageable with ia , ca , presentations and end semester exams each semester
