Siliguri Institute of Technology Darjeeling Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From third year we are eligible to sit for the placements. Percentage of students getting placed is 92%.The company that visits are- Microsoft, amazon, TCS, BOSCH, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, manhindra, Virttusa, Accenture,Informatica,Intel,Airtel,etc.The highest package is 51 lakhs that is offcampus in MIcrosoft fromCSE DEPARTMENT, Average package is 5-6 lakhs.

The course is itself a difficult course Engineering. As nowadays it jobs are at peak so cse is a best course. There should be more different ways of teaching and helping students to understand the classes appropriately. There should be a proper 6 months per semester. In 1st sem we got approx 7 months and now in 2nd sem we hardly have half month left for our end sem in short we got only 4 months for 2nd sem.

After completing the 3rd semester students become eligible for campus placement there are many companies visits our campus Wipro, Capgemini and so on..last year highest packege was 32lpa and lowest 2.8lpa avg. 4.8-6 lpa( in campus) and 52 lakh highest packege (off campus) I heard that about 40 to 50 % students got placed in campus

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards . Some of the companies that visit include TCS , Tech Mahindra, PineLabs, Microsoft, Amazon to name a few. Almost 70% of the students are able to secure a placement through the college with an average package of 2.5 to 6 lakhs with the highest package going upto 52 lakhs

Students become eligible for placement by the start of 5th semester, you will get many internship by applying. The companies visited this year is Tech Mahindra, TCS, Infosys. Highest on campus placement was 14LPA by Infosys Average on campus placement was 4-5LPA Highest off campus placement was 51LPA by Microsoft Percentage of students getting placed was about 70% Many opt for higher studies

From 6th semester you can apply for placement. Capgemini, pentonix, p360, TCS, Amazon, Microsoft, informatica, bijus etc. The heights avg package of our time is 27 lpa and the avg package is 5-6 lpa . 80% student was placed in 2023. To work with a organisation .

* from the 6th semester students can get any NOC and get a placement by a company * companies like Infosys, Wipro and many other companies * The highest package from last year is 51LPA(Microsoft), 26 LPA (Amazon) and the average package is 5-7 LPA * over 50% get placement * Get a job for backup and after having backup I will try to make something by my own

Course curriculum is quite average , in CSE they taught DBMS at 6th semester and the teachers are not so well educated. Many of them have m.tech degree. Their behaviour is not so good,it depends on individual. They don't have much more knowledge about the subject.

After 6th sem, 3rd year the placement of students start. Many companies such as Wipro, P360, Amazon, Airtel etc visits our college. Last year highest package offered to our college student was 52 LPA. At an average 7-8 LPA jobs are offered also. 96% of students in your campus gets placed. I have also thought about a secure job opportunity from campus drive also.

Student from 6th sem are eligible for placement . one company called p360 offered about 10-15 other companys are also there but i think they offered not more then 5-6.Highest Package is 36 LPA offered by Microsoft in offcampus. 30-40 percent usually gets placed but this year it may drop to 10-15 percent due to not hiring.My plan is to persue higher studies in AI .
