Siliguri Institute of Technology Darjeeling Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From the 3rd year itself, the campus placement starts. To get placed in good companies students must maintain at least 7.5 cgpa. Many reputed companies like TCS, Capgemini, Macfee, Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys, etc are top recruiters. The highest package offered is 13 LPA and on average it's about 4-4.5 LPA. The percentage of students placed from our stream last year was about 75%. Some also went for the MBA.

Above 95% of the students got placed in our college. The Highest package offered 30 LPA and the lowest package is 5 LPA, But it differs from branches that got the internship. The teachers give us great training.

From the 5rd semester, students become eligible for campus placements and some of them get placement in 3rd year. Many renowned companies such as Microsoft, Airtel, Intel, Bosch, etc. companies visited and offers us good packages. The highest package is 12 LPA and the lowest package is 3-4 LPA. About 70% of students gets placement every year in different companies.

Placements are not very good. But one can get an average package of 5-6lpa. There are several companies that visit our college namely, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, etc. Once can apply in the companies from the third year itself. The companies starts recruiting the students from third year.

The student from 3rd years is eligible for campus placement. One of the famous chipset company the Intel is coming for the last two years followed by Macafee for the last 3 to 4 years. Companies like byjus, TCS, Wipro, Amazon are also coming. About 60-70% are getting placed for jobs. 50% of students are getting an internship. After getting a degree will try to join gaming companies or make some indie games.

There are internships available in 3rd year to students for technical & non-technical also. Students become eligible from 6th-7th sem to sit from campus placement TCS, Adobe, Wipro & Infosys as many companies visited during campus placement. The Average of 3-5 lakhs job offers & high of 8-9 lakhs this year. Around 40-45% of students get placed every year in campus placement. Highest package is 38 lakhs in Microsoft is mentioned on the college website as per off-campus placement. Plans after getting a degree to pursue higher studies.

The main factor while choosing this college was it's placement and faculties which are totally awesome. Yaa the infrastructure was not up to the mark but that's not a big deal for me. This college has best placement in its university and i preferred this over others. I used Collegedunia and shiksha.com as per the reference for the selection of this college.

Good placement. Good education is given. Practical part is very good. I learned about college from Google. It is important to take the entrance exam for college admission. There is also direct admission.

1. Best enivorment for study in the campus. 2. Better and helpfull faculty and staff. 3. College surrounding is best i think. 4. Library have all books regarding your course and provide books when we want.

Placement are likely to be held in the final year of the degree ie. 8th semester. There are many companies like Wipro TCS cognizant Infosys microsoft intel and many more. The avg salary given is about 4 LPA and the highest package is 12 LPA. About 70 percent of the students get placed every year. I am myself placed in a big multinational company.
