Admission at SMIT is based on the WBJEE score for B.E and B.Tech. courses. Whereas candidates for courses such as management courses are selected based on marks scored in the GATE, GCET or CET followed by the counseling process.
How to Apply?
Students who are willing to apply for courses in SMIT may follow the below steps for the admission process:
- Apply to the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) in their admission forms. Forms can be registered online followed by JoSAA counseling.
- MBA admissions are done through GATE/MAT/CMAT/XAT merit list generated by college administration every year.
- Submit all required documents and mark sheets.
- Upon confirmation of admission, submit the fees at the college.

- RC labs: College labs are well furnished with RC and valid equipment for a practical approach towards technology. Systems are well enriched with the latest linguistic software.
- Hostel: There are 4 boys hostel and one girl's hostel providing residence to more than 350 students. There are several facilities given to students in the hostel including study room, sanitized bath areas, and a maintained sports area for recreation purposes.
- Audiovisual auditorium: The college has a fully functional, Air-Conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 410 persons.

For the admisssion initially need to pay 20000 for the seat booking. Then we need to pay the fees of first semester. As I paid the fees through EMI process. The course fees was 560000 but I got more than 70% in my boards final so I got a compensation.

Firstly I Congratulate myself on successfully completing the engineering entrance examination and securing good marks for my Diploma in ETC engineering. During my admission, I appeared in the state-level entrance test! It's beautiful to hear that I have a good rank on the state-level entrance test. Accordingly, I participate in counseling sessions based on my rank on the state-level entrance I selected the college of my choice. Additionally, it's great that I got all the eligible benefits available per government standards. These benefits undoubtedly provide me with valuable support and make my educational journey smoother. Get allotted by the state council of technical education after ranking in Jexpo. First document verification is done then direct admission. There would be an admission fee along with a refundable security deposit. The admission process is very backdated, they accept only bank drafts no cash or cheque payment which is very irritating as there is one small bank in that area that to about 800m away and that bank is even really slow.
