Likes

Campus is big and beautiful infrastructure is good
Library available gym is also available.every sports (basketball, badminton, volleyball, cricket, football) indoor games
Labs are available for every subject and courses. labs are good. many seminars out of course.

Dislikes

Average teaching. teaching is not so good.
Placement is also not that good last year highest was 32lpa and lowest was 2.8lpa (in campus) average was 4.8-6 lpa
Campus placement is very low. big companies don't come for placement

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course at my own. I wanted to be an software engineer so that I choosed it. the curriculum of this course actually I don't liked it. there are many things which we don't need for our future jobs. teaching of coding is not good.not every students learn coding before collage. they treat like everyone knows it before. also there are lack of time for the semester. we have our semester exam just 3 months gap

Internships Opportunities

Not so many companies come for internship. but you have to be serious about your career and search for opportunities. many students get internships and stipend..there are hackathons every 2 months.

Placement Experience

After completing the 3rd semester students become eligible for campus placement there are many companies visits our campus Wipro, Capgemini and so on..last year highest packege was 32lpa and lowest 2.8lpa avg. 4.8-6 lpa( in campus) and 52 lakh highest packege (off campus) I heard that about 40 to 50 % students got placed in campus

Fees and Financial Aid

For btech in CSE the total course fee is 6lakh 15 thousands. 1st sem 86500 2nd sem 81500 3rd sem 73500 and so on and also they take 13900 rupees for extra charges (library etc). i am doing this course on education loan.if anyone wants to do in loan they have pay the first semester fees in cash after loan sanction they can get back there money and also there are scholarship which are given from the government like Swami Vivekananda scholarship.

Campus Life

There are so many festivals like sports Bollywood night,annual fest, cultural festand so on. after 2 or 3 months any festival happens The range of books in the library are not so high I'll rate it 7/10 There are many smart classrooms.many sports available. every year sports competition happens. many clubs are there for students like technology, photography and many more

Admission

There is no such eligibility for the course..I think anyone who has given the WB-JEE or JEE can apply. I have done my admission on reservation. But I didn't get any benefits for pre-reservation. You can apply through JEE or wbjee

Faculty

The faculty and students ratio is about 30:1 and it ofcourse helps to get connected with teachers.we have our mentors. every semester it changes. mentors helps us..and remind us everything. also we can share anything with them personal or official.. whenever I want I can interact with teachers

My academics and campus life at amity university kolkata

Placement Experience:

Yes, there is a placement cell at the university campus. It conducts placement related activities and programs for the students. Students are eligible for the campus placement from the 5th semester. Some companies visit the campus to hire the students. Some of the companies are E&Y, SAP, Deloitte, TCS and they have made total approximately 40 offers out of 100 students. The highest and average package of our university is 28Lakhs and 5-6Lakhs for the role of SDE. The percentage of students getting placements if about 40-45%. The seniors told me that the companies offer good packages to the students. I am in my second year so I do not have much information about it. After completing degree from this university, I'm thinking to appear for GATE examination as I want to do my Master's from IIT's.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester student got placement and there is no limitation for placement. There are so many companies visited the campus, such as (amazon, microsoft, JP morgon, TCS , infosys, Oracle , and many more..) , they offer more than 700 to 800 students. The average package of CSE branch is approx 22 LPA and highest package is 82 LPA. There are 80 to 90 percent student who got placed. My plan after getting the job is to work hard and explore the world.

My Honest Review For Nit Durgapur

Placement Experience:

Yes our college offers campus placements.Students from 4th year are eligible for campus placements.Many reputed nation and international companies like microsoft,Wipro,TCS, Infosys and many more companies offrers placement every year in this college. arrording to 2025 deta overall placement rate was 82 percent, Highest packege was 80 lpa and average packege was 12.6lpa. My only plan to get a good placements.

Placement process in IIT KGP is well designed and functioned every year placements are done.Generally from seventh semester placement process is started for student and every student is eligible in campus placements as per requirements of company and according to their demand students are selected for final process of interview. I got TFW quota in this college from WBJEE Counselling, so for this the total fees for me is 1/8th of the fees paid by other, who take admission through Direct or with WBJEE Counselling itself.
