Preview of SIT in short

I choose Computer Science and Engeneering as it has the greatest prospect in the future industry. I am also interested in learning about making and developing apps and websites so I choose B.Tech CSE. B.Tech in CSE is the main course offered by our college. It has the majority of the seats and significantly a greater faculty member to help us to. The average ratio between faculty and student would be 20:1. Most of the faculty members have had done their M.Tech and PhD. They teach us thoroughly also help us if we are stuck somewhere. Term exams are held as per our university notice.

As I am from 2nd year I don't know much about internship opportunities offered by our college. But internships starts from 3rd year onwards. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon and many more take interns from our college.

After 6th sem, 3rd year the placement of students start. Many companies such as Wipro, P360, Amazon, Airtel etc visits our college. Last year highest package offered to our college student was 52 LPA. At an average 7-8 LPA jobs are offered also. 96% of students in your campus gets placed. I have also thought about a secure job opportunity from campus drive also.

Fees in our college has a increase every year by around 90K. You can avail scholarships such as SVMCM(Swami Vivekanand Merit Cum Means scholarship) for all students who gets atleast 60% and OASIS for all ST/SC/OBC students. If you had opted for TFW catagory in your entrance exam application from, you can avail TFW seats as per instructions and regulations.

Our college holds annual fests every year around mid year. We also have many events every months organised by our college or a club. Our Library is a vast one, you can go study there if you want. We have smart class room for advanced teaching. We have many indoor and outdoor sport options like table tennis, carrom and basketball, volleyball, cricket etc. We have many clubs such as SIT Photography Club and many others. We also have a NSS unit too.

It has two admission process. Either you can take admission there by giving entrance exams such as JEE, WBJEE or you can take direct admission from front office of the college. To take admission and be eligible to sit on entrance exam you must be a science student. Then you can opt out for entrance exams which held every year as per their schedule. If you have significantly a good rank in the entrance exam then you can take admission in the college through their portal. This college doesn't have reservation benifits as to be said. For direct admission from the front office you just need to visit college with you previous mark sheet of 10th and 12th standard.
