Aap professors are very good and take know about the subject in detail and the love their subjects and teach us how to love the subject
Jadavpur university has a strong track record of campus placements, with many students securing promising job opportunities in leading companies across various industries.
The eligibility of the course for electronics and telecommunication engineering is you have to get a good marks and rank in wbjee exam, our department is second best after cse is the best department in our college

Dislikes

Quality of faculty is not very good as the salaries are low. the flawed fees structure causes the university to be dependent on government funds and lack autonomy.
The thing which i disliked is the level of difficulty in our syllabus..it's a bit tough.
The infrastructure of the class and labs are not good due to lack of funds and skilled personnel at all levels.

College infrastructure is pretty good as well
The Return on Investment of the college is very high compare to any other institutes in India
The campus is not that big but the of playground is pretty decent and the bengali culture is nicely observed.

Dislikes

The internship leaves provided by the college is only for 2 months and not acceptable by the college for more than 2 months of internship.
The infrastructure is getting old but reinforcement is not regularly provided.Many rooms are not available with the AC.
The lab instruments are not working properly and needs to be renewed.

Placement Experience:

After the third year end sem, typically students are considered as almost fully ready for campus placements Hundreds of companies come to Jadavpur for placements (including National & Multi-national companies such as: Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Texas, Coca-cola, Wipro, Airtel, TCS) In 2025, the highest package is 1.2 crore from the CSE Department form the company "RUBRIK PRO"

Return on investment of the college based on its fees
The supportive faculty on campus and their knowledge
Independence we get to go out of our way and so something new

Dislikes

Startup culture can be improved and be better.
Hostel can be better. Has same problem like older iits.
Infrastructure is good but still not comparable to iits.

Placement Experience:

Placement is nice. Can be better. Not at par really with top 6 iits and bits. But it's still the best ROI. Doesn't charge 30lakhs unlike bits and 20lakhs like iits. Best college for higher studies. Good companies visit campus

Seniors are very helpful, they provides every details and opportunities which we should opt for.
Course outcomes are actually designed as such which will help us further
Teachers and students' connection is very good

Dislikes

Infrastructure is quite a bit old, but it can be manageable

Placement Experience:

Average package of our department is about 15 lpa, moreover highest goes above 50lpa often. Texas instruments, Samsung, Qualcomm and many companies visit here for finding bright student ready for them. Above 90% students every got placed.

JU from a UG1 perspective

The campus space is full of greenery. It has some nice and clean water bodies too.
The university has a vast set of very helpful professors, the teaching learning process is very friendly and satisfying.
The university has a vibrant blend of culture. It has various clubs regarding photography, music, coding, debate etc.

Dislikes

The campus playground is too small for the huge number of students to play in and it is full of rough stone pieces, which is aweful to play in.
The buildings are quite old and needs more maintenance.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after end of 6th semester. Major companies visited are Texas Instruments, TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Deloitte, HSBC, IBM, Capgemini etc. The highest packages on campus are about INR35,00,000 per annum. The number of offers are greater than number of students and more than 90% students get placed. After getting a degree I am looking forward to higher education.

Sweet and bitter side of Jadavpur University, Kolkata

Very low cost of education. For 4 years of engineering the college charges only 10000 rupees in total (2.5k per year) [except IT]
The students have significant power in this university. The students decide the schedule of the semester exam as per their needs.
Very few teachers force you to maintain attendance. There is no rule like 75% attendance yet. So we can focus on our own goals. We can skip any lecture and do sports or coding or anything else.

Dislikes

The playground of the jadavpur campus is not maintained at all. Some maintenance would help us to play well.
The students are 90% from bengal. It does not provides diversity and exposure as much as national colleges do.
During fests, life of a non-smoker is unbearable. You can not even enjoy the show because of the smoke and smell.

Placement Experience:

Last of 3rd year students start to get placed. Many companies like Amazon, Deloitte visits the campus. No. Of offers made so far is 90. I don't know about the highest and lowest yet, this year's placement season is going on. 100% of eligible students get placed. No mass recruited placements. I am planning to get a job after the degree.

I liked the overall package, tech fests .
Lots of trees planted across the campus, good scenery .
I also liked good interactions with seniors .

Placement Experience:

Top class placements including 10 LPA as avearge package and even 100% placement ratio in branches like Civil, Mechanical and Construction with the highest on campus package being 2 CR. In fact, the entire placement percentage is 90% which is excellent!!

There is many advantage for us other than study.
The fees structure is very low so i can save many ruppes
Every students and senior and also teacher are helpful.

Dislikes

our university has poor infrastructure .
The surrounding is so durty ,and more gandha
The Placment ratio is so poor so i am not saytisfing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had interest in engeering from my childhood. there is 1:5 faculty students ratio. Most of the faculty proffesers are phd holeder. our university conducts semister exam in the gape of six months. and after some one month a class test is hold by our class teacher on the respecticve topics.
