Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because JU is one of the best universities in India with an NIRF ranking of 4th among universities and 10th among Engineering. It is one of the best college with the best ROI in the ENTIRE WORLD as they charge a fees of 12k INR for 4 years and have an avg. placement of 10 LPA with top branches getting 20+ LPA avg. package.

Class Size: 92Course Fees: INR 3000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships are given by companies such as Texus Instruments, NVDIA, Airbus, Amazon etc. Avg. stripends offered in excess is 30k per annum. Projects are given on the based of subjects in which the intern is proficient.

Placement Experience

Top class placements including 10 LPA as avearge package and even 100% placement ratio in branches like Civil, Mechanical and Construction with the highest on campus package being 2 CR. In fact, the entire placement percentage is 90% which is excellent!!

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 12k INR for 4 years and there is rarely any hike in fees. Hostel fees are very nominal. Semester fees is 11 INR per subject. There are scholarships such as SVMCM and JBNSTS for the more deserving candidates.

Campus Life

SRIJAN and SANSKRITI are the main tech fest and cultural fest held in the month of March and April respectively. There are innumerable books and research papers in the library. There are ACs installed in every classroom.

Admission

You have to pass class 12 with Maths, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subject with minimum aggregate of 75%. Application forms, fees and dates are available at wbjee.nic.in. Reservations are given to OBC, SC, ST, PWD and those from Jammu and Kashmir region.

Honest opinion about my college(AOT)

Placement Experience:

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements and there are plenty of companies that come like in my branch there 35-40 companies (core) came and no of offers were 30.Placement percentage was around 95%.Median package was around 7.5lpa and highest was 15lpa.Well my plans are not decided yet, currently in my 2nd year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
