Likes
- The labs stole my heart i was always amazed of the phyics lab and chem lab and after ding some experiments i was very happy
- Infrastructure is best as we have organised campus with food eateries and canteens .
Dislikes
- Getting no leaves for preparation between exams is the worst thing happening here
- The teaching is very bad by some of the research oriented professors.

- The campus is very beautiful, it is lush green and very less polluted as it is not in a city. It is always clean. The climate is also pleasant. There are many hostels and in some hostels you also get a single room.
- The faculties and senior are also good. They always provide very useful insight for our future. They help us in exploring more and more career option like tech, core, consulting etc.
Dislikes
- The course curriculum is quite outdated. It helps to build up your basics but has very little use at industry level. Also in some departments like elecetrical the grading system is quite harsh which maks is difficult to get a good grade.
- The girls to boys ratio in our college is quite low. But you get a chance to interact to them and hence it is not a big problem unless you are looking to get into a relationship.
Placement Experience:
The first placement drive is held in the seventh semester, where various companies come to the college and interview students. A total of 1353 offers were made int the 2023-24 session. from each department 70 to 80 percent students get placed. I will sit for placements and prepare to get a job.

- There are comparable boys and girls which is good.
- we have good hostels to live in during the course

- I don't like that the classes are too far from room
- Some time the food in mess is like pure Bengali food excess sweet

The placement percentage is high and placement are good here than compare to other colleges and average package is good so I like my campus very much so but there are still some people with no placements in the campus

- The atmosphere of the IIT campus is very refreshing, filled with greenery everywhere.
- Sports facility is awesome here. All the different sports ground is available rather it be outdoor or indoor. Campus includes 2 Cricket ground and 2 football ground and many more such facility
Dislikes
- The study complex is very far from the residence halls.
- There is no lift in the boys hall of residence.
Placement Experience:
The Campus placement is good. Considering I am enrolled in best branch of one of the best college of india, the average package of my branch is nearly 40lpa which is quite good. Highest package on campus last year was 2.18 crore per year. Nearly all students who opt for placement get placed at the end of fourth year.

- The vibrant culture and the strong alumni base of the college intrigued me the most.
- There are a lot of opportunities available for us to socialize in the form of societies, Hall activities and various other activities.
Dislikes
- The academic curriculum is quite rigorous.
Placement Experience:
The placements are quite good and alot of companies visit our campus every year and almost all the students gets placed either on campus or off campus every year. The median package for our department is around 16 lakhs rupees annually.
Likes
- It really is a great campus to get in , the vast area to explore,
- Everything we need like laundry, hair cut, shops, etc are in reach of the campus
Dislikes
- There is nothing much to explore outside the campus in small radius
- No shopping Malls in reach , like we need to travel to Kolkata
Course Curriculum Overview:
In the first year irrespective of the department you choose, you'll be exposed to all department knowledge. Hands on work experience with Arduino projects, Labs , assignments . you'll be given a basic knowledge of how and what every department works and their applications in the real world. Frequency of the exams, you'll be having 1.5 month teaching and exams and 1.5 teaching and exams . Quality of papers are very good .

- The campus infra is too good. The greenary here also gains our attention.
- The alumini and friends network that is formed here is soo strong.
Dislikes
- The food that we are provided in our mess.
Placement Experience:
As I am first year ofcourse I am not offered any placements but the placement rates here are high I can more than 90% which include big companies like Microsoft, google, goldman sachs, bajaj , tata,etc tech companies and also core companies come to IIT campuses but not more frequently as Tech companies. Here all are given opportunities to sit in placement drive for these companies(if companies are not branch specific) be he/she from civil, ocean engineering , biotech,etc. About 85-90% of minimum students get oncampus placements. In terms of package average is about 16LPA considering all the branches and the highest package can go up to 3 Crores(but only one or two get that much amount!!) . Most people get around 25LPA.

- Bad food at hostels, no transportation provided by the institute authorities.
Placement Experience:
Being the top college in India for decades, IIT KGP is a goto place for every company. Many companies believe Kharagpur as their dream institue for recruitment. We have a great placement cell. The placement percentage is very high. The numbers are available on the institute website placement report. Highest package is 4,00,00,000 per annum and the average package is 50,00,000 per annuum. I plan to go and bag a good package for myself.

- Surrounding are a lot cool because of the tress planted and I pretty much liked it.
- Friendly nature of all people staying here. You can make friends very fast on the campus.
Dislikes
- As Kharagpur is not a city, I cannot enjoy city life as much as I want.
- Mess food will always be not good. It’s totally different taste from what I used to eat at my home.
Placement Experience:
In the third year, generally, students are eligible for campus placements. We can start internships in our second year if we want. We get Google, Microsoft, and Wipro-like companies for placements. Last year 2.5 cpa was the highest package and 24 lakhs average package according to the academic section. If I get a good placement I will take that or I will do a masters

- Very far from a metro city. Kharagpur itself is isolated from industrialisation
Placement Experience:
The placements of my college are very good for circle branches and menial for core branches. One has to be diligent with DSA and coding skills to crack a good company or have an alternate interest in financial concepts on a quant company.

- In our college aisa one of largest library are their it help every one .their are several lab are their.
Dislikes
- As this college is one of the best college in the world. So most of the things are available. And nothing i find here that i dislike.
Placement Experience:
In our college form 4th year placement are started. There are several company are visit our college during placement like microsoft, goggles, apple etc.above 80 percentage students are getting placement. After getting degree apply for job.
