IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placement percentage is high and placement are good here than compare to other colleges and average package is good so I like my campus very much so but there are still some people with no placements in the campus

The Campus placement is good. Considering I am enrolled in best branch of one of the best college of india, the average package of my branch is nearly 40lpa which is quite good. Highest package on campus last year was 2.18 crore per year. Nearly all students who opt for placement get placed at the end of fourth year.

The placements are quite good and alot of companies visit our campus every year and almost all the students gets placed either on campus or off campus every year. The median package for our department is around 16 lakhs rupees annually.

After completion of 3rd year, students become eligible for campus placements. Placement rate of iit kgp is around 95% with a wide variety of branches available and provides an impressive package of 45 lakhs p.a. Highest package every year goes in crores, around 3-4 crores at the CSE department.

In the first year irrespective of the department you choose, you'll be exposed to all department knowledge. Hands on work experience with Arduino projects, Labs , assignments . you'll be given a basic knowledge of how and what every department works and their applications in the real world. Frequency of the exams, you'll be having 1.5 month teaching and exams and 1.5 teaching and exams . Quality of papers are very good .

As I am first year ofcourse I am not offered any placements but the placement rates here are high I can more than 90% which include big companies like Microsoft, google, goldman sachs, bajaj , tata,etc tech companies and also core companies come to IIT campuses but not more frequently as Tech companies. Here all are given opportunities to sit in placement drive for these companies(if companies are not branch specific) be he/she from civil, ocean engineering , biotech,etc. About 85-90% of minimum students get oncampus placements. In terms of package average is about 16LPA considering all the branches and the highest package can go up to 3 Crores(but only one or two get that much amount!!) . Most people get around 25LPA.

Being the top college in India for decades, IIT KGP is a goto place for every company. Many companies believe Kharagpur as their dream institue for recruitment. We have a great placement cell. The placement percentage is very high. The numbers are available on the institute website placement report. Highest package is 4,00,00,000 per annum and the average package is 50,00,000 per annuum. I plan to go and bag a good package for myself.

In the third year, generally, students are eligible for campus placements. We can start internships in our second year if we want. We get Google, Microsoft, and Wipro-like companies for placements. Last year 2.5 cpa was the highest package and 24 lakhs average package according to the academic section. If I get a good placement I will take that or I will do a masters

The placements of my college are very good for circle branches and menial for core branches. One has to be diligent with DSA and coding skills to crack a good company or have an alternate interest in financial concepts on a quant company.

In our college form 4th year placement are started. There are several company are visit our college during placement like microsoft, goggles, apple etc.above 80 percentage students are getting placement. After getting degree apply for job.
