UPES Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placement of the college is not upto the marks. Although companies visit the campus but due to the highly strict rules created by the college students remains unplaced. Rules such as if a student is placed once cannot sit for other companies.

From 7th sem placement starts or roughly from 3rd year . The university help you with placement training . Top company like shell , Deloitte,tcs , vipro , adobe visit the campus. Average package is 5 - 8 lakhs . Approx 80 - 90% students get placed based on the average package. If incampus placement doesn't suti well people basically go with mba or linked in jab search .

Specific aspects of the circullum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the computer science department as I love knowing about the computer and the efforts of making daily life problems easy and best thing is that if know how to use the computer well you can earn well enough of money in this world the world only cares about that you have money or not if have they will give you respect if don't have it they treat you like shit.

Course has some of the many useless things such as complex maths in business doesn't make any sense tand some of the courses are waste just to add more and more course to charge extra fees and points .

From 5th semested students are eligible for intenships and from 7th they are eligible for jobs Companies like dell,google,infosys , barclays etc visit the campus for hiring students. The highest package was around 53-54lacs and avg is 7 lacs

Placements of the college are decent the placements start from the 7 semester a different plethora of companies hires from the college ranging from Infosys deloit and startups like cogoport flecklabs percentage of students getting placed is also decent for a private university and my plans after the degree is to get placed from the college

Placements are good for this college. UPES consistently achieved 90%+ placement rates every year. In 2023 highest package was around 36 LPA and the average package varies between 4-6 LPA. Top recruiters are Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Halliburton, Tata Power, Deloitte, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, EY, Amazon,Adani group, Cyril, Trilegal, AZB & Partners. If no placements is offered you can try off campus placements or you can go for highes studies as it provides 50% for alumni in post graduate course.

From 6th semester students are eligible for placement and college provides 100% placement even after the completion of degree and every year highest package goes to 66 lpa and avg is 8lpa. I plan to pursue masters after getting the degree abroad

The placements are offered by our college. Intially the college allots SPR(student placement representative for each class) to directly categorize students for their placement process and help them throughout it. The companies visit often to the campus and conduct GD(group disscussion) and shortlist students for the interviews and select them accordingly. We have 2 categories of the placement:core and non-core. But the negative part is not all the componies that vist our college are core companies.

this course includes great coding work and even the particular subject for the specalization you have chosen the course doesnt require any improvements as the curriculum is fantastic exams timing vary according to the course
