UPES Academic Scholarships

This scholarship will be awarded to all students who apply for admission to undergraduate (UG) programs, except the Global Pathway Program (GPP), and who passed the 12th CBSE Board, ICSE Board, or any State Board Exam (listed under "COBSE"). However, only students who have met the requirements outlined below for the first year and any subsequent renewals, if applicable, will be eligible to receive this scholarship. There will only be a limited number of scholarships available.

25 seats will be reserved for the ward of Armed forces including Paramilitary personnel (Serving and Retired).

The scholarship worth up to 30% of tuition, will only be issued if the acceptance fee is paid before the deadline specified in the entrance offer letter.

The scholarship will be awarded in the range from 10% to 30% on tuition fees of 1st & 2nd semesters only.

The total number of scholarships available is up to 2700 (out of these all female students who score more than 60% in class 12th, will get scholarships).

The scholarship will be given in the order of Merit.

For Example: If a student scores 80.7% or 80.9% in class 12^th, his/her percentage will be rounded off to 80% and will get a scholarship on tuition fees for 1st year only.

UPES Bonafide Uttarakhand Student Scholarships

If the students are Uttarakhand Bonafide residents, they are eligible for a 30% concession on tuition fee subject to fulfillment of the following conditions and submission of supporting documents:

‘Sthai Niwas Praman Patra’ Certificate, along with the admission form
Income Certificate (proving that your gross family income is not more than INR 12 lakh per annum, along with a copy of the last income tax return filed).

UPES Fellowship for M.Tech & M.Des Students

A stipend of up to INR 12,400 per month for as long as they can remain registered with the university will be considered for students enrolled in the M. Tech program in the academic year 2024–2025 who have a valid GATE score of 75 percentile and above.
All Students will also be eligible to avail a grant up to a sum of INR 50,000 towards outcome-based research as per rules and regulations framed for the purpose by the University.

UPES M.Tech Scholarship

UPES Scholarships for MBA

All applicants to conventional UPES MBA courses, except the Global Pathway Program (GPP), who have completed graduation from any accredited university test (listed under AIU) are eligible to be considered for this grant. However, only students who have met the first-year requirements outlined below will be eligible to receive this scholarship. There isn't another renewal. There are just a few spots available for the scholarship.
Scholarship recipients will receive 20% of their first and second-semester tuition; however, the scholarship will only be granted if the acceptance fees are paid by the deadlines specified in the entrance offer letter.
The total number of scholarships available is up to 75 seats. The scholarship will be awarded as 20% of tuition fees of 1st & 2nd semesters only.
There is no renewal as it is applicable for 1st year only.

UPES Scholarship Based On Academic Performance

For Second Year Onwards: The academic scholarship policy is applicable for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The scholarship will be awarded to 10% of the total students enrolled in each of the programs or 1 student whichever is higher. The 10% will be rounded off to the nearest next number. The scholarship policy for the year 2024 is based on the meritorious performance of the students in the academic year 2024 is as under:

UPES Alumni Scholarships

The scholarship is applicable on only a 50% tuition fee waiver for the full duration of the program. Under this scheme, no other scholarship will be offered or clubbed with this scholarship. No alumni fee will be charged and the renewal of the scholarship for the subsequent year will be only based on attaining a minimum of 8 SGPA /CGPA with no backlog and no disciplinary cases registered or reported against the student. The eligibility for this scholarship is:

Applicable to all Alumni who graduated from 2019 onwards. For any Alumni who graduated before 2019, the Department of Alumni Relations will present the case to the scholarship committee for special approval.
Alumni have to meet the notified eligibility criteria for AY 2024-25 for the respective programs.

UPES Sports Scholarships

UPES has introduced a new scheme of providing scholarships for talented sports persons. This scholarship started with the aim of developing a sports culture in the university. The criteria for new and existing students are tabulated below:

UPES Employee Ward Scholarship

The employee will be eligible to get the fee concession for 2 children.
Amounts equal to 75% of the semester cost (including tuition and academic service fees) for the first year of the program will be covered by the fee concession. The employee will pay the remaining portions of the cost directly.
For continuing 75% of fee concession in the subsequent years, the ward of the employee, the ward shall ensure that he/she is not involved in any disciplinary case and will have to abide with all the rules and regulations of the University.
For the duration that his or her ward is enrolled in the University's program, the Employee will remain employed by the University. The ward of the employee will be responsible for paying the full amount of fees due to the university once the employee leaves or is terminated from employment.

UPES Employee Sibling Ward Scholarship

The sibling of the employee will be eligible to get the fee concession for 2 children.
The fee concession will be given for an amount equivalent to 50% of the Semester Fee (Inclusive of Tuition and Academics Service fee) of the program for the first year. All other components of the fee will be paid directly by the sibling of the employee.
For continuing 50% of fee concession in the subsequent years, the ward shall ensure he/she is not involved in any disciplinary case and will have to abide with all the rules and regulations of the University.
If the employee resigns or is terminated from the services, the ward of the sibling shall be liable to pay the full amount of fee payable to the University post his/her exit from the University.

Every year it is changing. For first year it is around 1lakh35 thousand per semester, then it kept increasing by 20-25thousand. For every course the fee structure is different. If you are domicile of Uttrakhand it is quite less compare to non- domicile students.

The total fees including course fees, caution money, hostel etc would amount up to 22lakh. But since I am not availing the hostel, for me it is around 19.5 lakh. My year-wise fees is around 10 lakh MBA Strategy and Consulting with KPMG and Business Analytics with KPMG are one of the sought after courses so they is on the pricier side. To my knowledge, MBA core tuition fees is around 15.5 to 16L and other specialisations like MBA Aviation, Power, Oil and Gas, IB fall in the 17L range. They do provide scholarships for merit (CAT score above 85, NMAT score above 200 and Graduation CGPA above 8) and other provisions like Uttrakhand domicile, faculty wards, sports scholarship

Dehradun which is also known as Quant Town has almost 10-15 private universities and in those UPES is among the most sought after one. The reason for that is less fees as where all universities have started charging 4 to 5 lakhs a year, UPES fees for CSE is still just 2.65 lakhs a year.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Varies every year but stays around the ball park of 4 lakhs per year for Bachelor of Technology. This is the total fees you need to be paying every year which includes everything from support fees , technical fees and fees for industrial visits etc. Domicile brings the fees down to around 3.8 Lakhs per year. If you appear for CUET , JEE or UPESEAT(UPES' own admission test), you may be eligible for upto 15% scholarship depending on your score.
