Course Curriculum Overview
I liked the curriculum and infrastructure. There is diversity in course and they prepare you for every aspect, especially witht he guest lectures. I have not attended any official classes yet, only foundational classes
Internships Opportunities
I do not have any knowledge about this since I have not started my official classes yet. But according to reviews from my seniors. it is very difficult to get good internships with a stipend. So most students apply for off-campus internships
Placement Experience
The placement rate is around 90%. Students become eligible for campus placements from the start of 3rd semester, although you can get in earlier through summer internship and ppos. Overall average package is around 8 lakh. Top 15% students get 14-17 lakh. Highest package for this year was 33 lakh. Many top companies like Amazon, Adani, EY, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, Adobe, Microsoft, Infosys, BlueDart, Dell, Deloitte, Genpact and more come to the campus. I aim on getting into big 4 consulting firms.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees including course fees, caution money, hostel etc would amount up to 22lakh. But since I am not availing the hostel, for me it is around 19.5 lakh. My year-wise fees is around 10 lakh MBA Strategy and Consulting with KPMG and Business Analytics with KPMG are one of the sought after courses so they is on the pricier side. To my knowledge, MBA core tuition fees is around 15.5 to 16L and other specialisations like MBA Aviation, Power, Oil and Gas, IB fall in the 17L range. They do provide scholarships for merit (CAT score above 85, NMAT score above 200 and Graduation CGPA above 8) and other provisions like Uttrakhand domicile, faculty wards, sports scholarship
Campus Life
Till now my campus experience has been good. There are many events and festivals lined up. Library has good variety of books. Many sports and extracurriculars are encouraged. Professors also encourage us to join clubs and societies which are indeed very useful and hone our professional skills
Admission
I got offer letter from Shiv Nadar University and SOIL. I also got through NMIMS first round, missed the second one. Personally I still would have gone for UPES. Their approach is something I liked. And I also have a liking for the city. Hence I chose this.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is around 1:30 considering number of staff and students across all streams. Most faculty I have come across in my foundation classes till now are very approachable and knowledgeable. Few are a bit intimidating, but they only test you infront of the class because they want you to my prompt and prepare for the professional life. The course curriculum is good
Interview Experience
We had to submit our entrance exam scores, you can enter through college entrance test too. And then you must give a personal interview. They asked about general knowledge and current affairs as well as some questions about our background and future plans. Since I had already experienced a few interviews I prepared accordingly
Night Life
Not much of a nightlife but there are okay enough facilities available in and aorund the campus ro explore. You must travel a bit into the city to enjoy. Although I have not felt the city was unsafe ti explore at night
