Likes
- The most scenic location as our campus is on Mussoorie road and therefore mountain view is what we witness from our campus.
- Students have come from some 20 states of India and I have two batchmates from Andaman & Nicobar Islands too.
- Faculties are very supportive as pushing from them comes at the right time.
Dislikes
- Straightaway fine is imposed if our attendance is lower than 75 percent.
Course Curriculum Overview
In private space CSE engineers have the maximum jobs in the market. Also, being called a techie would have helped my cause and therefore I chose this. Curriculum more or less is same what is taught at most places as I have compared it with even the IITs.
Internships Opportunities
Many tech start ups who are into data Harvesting or AI have approached our college students to intern in their companies. No establish companies came though but still for learning purposes, startups are the best.
Placement Experience
Infy, Techno India, Brumha and many as techies are required all over. From a watchmaker to salt maker without a techie a business can't grow big. So, even though there are 500+ CSE students still 75 percent or so get placed easily from our campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
Dehradun which is also known as Quant Town has almost 10-15 private universities and in those UPES is among the most sought after one. The reason for that is less fees as where all universities have started charging 4 to 5 lakhs a year, UPES fees for CSE is still just 2.65 lakhs a year.
Campus Life
The most appealing campus of Dehradun is ours. It is surrounded by forests on two sides and then there are mountains at the other ends. For two days in March every year we have our annual fest Uurja and it seriously brings back some Urja into students as it happens just a month before the exams.
Admission
Admission process is a simple one as I came directly with my dad and we were took to the counselor. They showed us everything how they shape and engineer and all and what were the placements they had in recent past. So admission were like you go and take it directly no need for any fancy exams or anything.
Faculty
There are various things which I have analysed before writing this and one of them is that their nature. Let's be honest they are all stars in their field and some attitude is bound to come. However our faculties don't have that in them and hende they are my lovely dovey people and especially Mihir Sir.
Night Life
For relaxation and casual outing we mostly go to Tapkeshwara Temple which is quite close to our campus. We also have places like FRI and Robbers Cave close to our campus and then cafes and all are obviously there.
