UPES B.Tech Biotechnology Fees
The B.Tech Biotechnology program at UPES has a total academic fee of Rs. 18,28,300 for the complete 4-year duration (2026-27 batch). The fee comprises tuition fees and academic service fees paid semester-wise, with a gradual increase each year. Hostel accommodation is optional and available on a first-come, first-served basis at Rs. 1,83,000 per year for triple-sharing rooms. Students from Uttarakhand domicile are eligible for a 25% scholarship on tuition fees.

- The Refundable Security of Rs. 20,000 and Hostel Security of Rs. 10,000 are interest-free and refundable at the time of leaving the university.
- PDC fee of Rs. 23,300 is paid in two instalments: half at admission and half in the penultimate semester.
- Fee payment schedule for AY 2026-27: 1st Semester at the time of admission; 2nd Semester by January 2, 2027; 3rd Semester by July 10, 2027; 4th Semester by January 2, 2028, and so on.
- UPES follows UGC guidelines for fee refunds in case of withdrawal.
- EMI/loan options are available through various banks and NBFCs. Students may contact the UPES admissions office for details.
- A seat confirmation fee of Rs. 1,00,000 is payable at the time of offer acceptance, which is adjusted against the first semester fee.
- Hostel is not mandatory. Total fees excluding hostel = Rs. 18,28,300.
