Dr. vinay pant is my favorite one, and he is the best at teaching in my department.
The placements are good in iit roorkee as it is the top 5 engineering colleges in india from 4 th semester ending you will get internship companies like amazon flipkart google microsoft and all other popular companies.
The prettiest thing in the whole campus is the james thomsan building. it has magnificent lawn and beautiful green and tall trees.

Dislikes

Admission process was a bit difficult a lot of documents to prepare so take took.the cut-off was too low cause it was the toughest exam.i didn't like the procedure of admission, have to prepare so much documents it was hectic.
A very few things that are dislike about the college is the rooms of hostels and washrooms of my block, not very much clean and with proper functions
Some professors are good but some are very rude and rigorous.

The course curriculum is new and adhers to the industrial and research point of view
Professors are easily approachable. The program is comprehensive

Placement Experience:

from the final semester the students become eligible for placments. Various tier 1 companies visit the institute and offer campus placements range from crores to a six digit salary figure. The profiles generally offered are SDE, data analyst, data scientist, management role, consultant and mnay others. though the details of the placement remain confidential.

Joint Mtech In IITR

Likes

Good and experienced faculty. Most faculty in every department are well quailfied and have ample teaching, research and industry experience to guide student in their respective domain. The faculty is very diverse in their area of research.
The laboratories are well equipped with good staff to teach you. Different labs for VLSI, device characterisaction, RF and microwave, Analog and Digital electronics is present.
The institute has ample facilities for extracurricular activities. The infrastructure is new with many new things coming up in the campus.

Dislikes

Not enough time to go for extracurricular activities. The academic work takes too much of your time and drains you in the end.
The location of the institute is not that great. Roorkee is a very rural and uninteresting city.
Even for small paper work you'll have to run from post to post. Coordination between different department is lacking many times.

Placement Experience:

The placements are very good. Being an old IIT many good companies arrive on campus in the final year of your undergrad and post grad. The placement cell is very active throughout the year and provide help and support to any person seeking it. The career development cell is another good initiative to help student in pursuing their goals.

Likes

IIT Roorkee has a beautiful campus. it is like heaven .
IIT Roorkee established in 1847, so it has completed 150 years.
IIT Roorkee provide Good quality of education.

Dislikes

If you from hindi medium background, you can suffer a lot.
you have to keep motivate you by yourself, no one is going to help.
less personal interaction between professors and students.

The placements are good. you can start by 3rd year. there are top companies who visit every year. highest packages - more than 1cr avg package- 10 lacs. 80-90 % of students can get easily any job. I want to go for a start-up and exploring in life.

Placement Experience:

The college has a tremendous placement record. The college provides 100% placement to its students. There are 3 phases of placement but students do not have to worry because the college placement committee helps and guides us throughout the placement process. The highest package for our batch went up to 65 LPA and the average package was around 18 LPA. Companies like Alphonso, Amazon, Analog Devices, AppDynamics India Pvt. Ltd., Bajaj Auto Ltd., Codenation, Cohesity, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Intel Technology Pvt. Ltd., Jaguar Land Rover, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Micron Technologies Operations India LLP, etc participated in the recruitment process of the college.

I enjoyed the campus life very less due to the pandemic.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are in total four semesters in this master's degree. All the subjects in the course involve the latest practices used in the industry. The dissertation stage consumes a lot of time and hard work. Since the entire course is practical, our professors helped us well in the projects and solved each of our doubts in the class itself. They were extremely talented and well-educated in their fields

The courses provided by Cloudxlab, E&ICT Academy and IIT Roorkee are well structured. All the credits go to the excellent CloudxLab team which provides constant assistance on issues related to labs and coursework via the discussion forum.

The course offers hands-on knowledge in Data/ Data Engineering technologies. It is suitable for anyone with basic programming knowledge, SQL database work, and an inclination toward Data Science. There is many differences in the price as well as the curriculum of the courses offered by E&ICT Academy, IIT Roorkee, and CloudxLab.

Merits

Well-structured coursework taught through short videos and quizzes for evaluation
The discussion forum provides assistance in lab work and projects
The solution of the project is available for assistance
The videos can be saved for future reference
Courses are offered at a discount except the lab access

Demerits

The project work has to be completed in the limited timeframe of 3 months
Some Spark modules are difficult to comprehend especially by beginners
The videos are extremely short and sometimes fail to explain the entire concept
