Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida (JIIT Noida), established in 2001, is a Deemed to be University. It is recognized by both UGC and AICTE. NAAC accredited JIIT Noida with Grade A and its CSE and ECE programs are accredited by NBA. In 2025, Collegedunia ranked JIIT Noida 105th in B.Tech,  while NIRF has ranked the university 101-150 this year in the same category.

The most popular courses at JIIT Noida are CSE and IT under the B.Tech program. For admission to B.tech, candidates are required to appear for JEE Mains Examination or can apply for direct admission based on 10+2 marks. The JEE Mains cutoff rank for admission to CSE in 2025 was 92,207, while for direct admission the 10+2 cutoff aggregate was 94% for the general category. The total fee for B.Tech is INR 15.56 Lakhs.

JIIT Noida Admission 2026

The admission process of JIIT Noida is entrance based. For B.Tech applicants, JEE Main rank is accepted. The MBA program accepts students through CAT/MAT. All JIIT Noida Admissions take place online. Applicants are required to register at the official website of the university.

JIIT Noida Cutoff 2026

The cutoffs for admission to JIIT Noida in 2026 are yet to be released. In 2025, the general category cutoff for admission to CSE was 92,207 (JEE Mains) and 94% (10+2).

The cutoff table shows that securing a seat in CSE is the toughest. The specializations R & AI and M & C follow closely behind in terms of being competitive courses. However, the specializations related to the fields of Electronics and Electrical have much lower cutoffs.

JIIT Noida Scholarship 2026

JIIT Noida provides academic as well as need based scholarships under several scholarship schemes such as Fee Waiver Scholarship, Scholarship to female students with financially backward background, Scholarship to Board Toppers, AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme and William Webster Merit-cum-Means Scholarship.

Scholarship to Girl Students : The scholarship is provided to students whose parents’ income is less than INR 50,000. There is a 50% fee waiver on the tuition fees.

Scholarship to Board Toppers : The scholarship is provided to the student who is the topper in 10+2. There is a 50% fee waiver on the tuition fees.

William Webster Merit-cum-Means Scholarship : The scholarship is provided to B.Tech students whose parents' income is less than INR 8 LPA. The student can avail of the scholarship in the even semester.

AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme : B.Tech and B.Tech + M.Tech students with their family income not exceeding 8 LPA are eligible for the scholarship. 1% of the total no. of seats in each specialization are reserved under this category. The university admits equal no. of students through JEE rank and 10+2 marks under this scheme.

JIIT Noida Placements 2026

The placement drive of 2026 at JIIT Noida is yet to take place. In 2025, more than 260 companies visited the JIIT Noida campus for placements, offering the highest package of INR 62 LPA, while the average package was INR 11.13 LPA. Overall 98% students were placed from B. Tech in the 2024 JIIT Noida Placement drive.

JIIT Noida Sector - 62 has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with various facilities (including LAN/WiFi connectivity, Sports Complex, Reading Room etc.) The Hostels are equipped with generators to provide 24-hour electricity supply, water heaters and water freezers. Ques. Is JIIT Noida tier 2 or tier 3 institute?

Ans. JIIT Noida is a tier 2 institute. The university has gained a substantial reputation for B.Tech and MBA placements. According to NIRF 2025 rankings, the institute is placed between 101 and 150 in B.Tech. However, in comparison with IITs and NITs, JIIT noida falls behind.

Ques. Is JIIT Noida better than Amity University?

Ans. Both JIIT Noida and Amity University are well known for certain features. While JIIT Noida has been consistent in its B.Tech rankings proivided by NIRF, Amity University offers a broader range of courses beyond B.Tech. JIIT Noida Review- with pros and cons

What are the various companies visiting the campus for placements, average and highest package being offered?

252 companies recruited so far for the 2024 graduatin batch. Average package offered-8.71 Lacs. Highest package offered-60.71 lacs(by LinkedIn) Prominent companies visited-Microsoft, LinkedIn,Cisco,Amazon,American Express, Intel, Oracle. More than 90% students get placed. Placement seasons start in the 6th sem(but before that you can secure an internship in the starting of the 3rd year itself). Many students got very good internships this year in JIIT and it got viral on the internet too. My plans are obviously secure a job, gain work experience and then prepare for higher studies.

Internship opportunity in various organization

Google, Atlassian, Microsoft, Walmart, Paypal, Goldman Sachs etc. are the companies which offered interships in JIIT. Highest stipend was given by Atlassian(1,30,000) per month. This time the photo of the internship offers of JIIT got viral on the whole internet. (Companies visited in summer 2025 batch)

College events, various clubs and facilities available in campus

Fests include converge(jiit-128) and impression(jiit-62), which are held in even sem. Books of respective domain(cse, ece etc.) are available in the LRC. Classrooms have ACs and good quality projectors. Sports facilities include badminton, basketball, volleyball, GYM, Table Tennis, etc. Many societies like KPH, AI/ML hub, Optica etc. help students enhance their skills and overall development.

Fees structure and scholarship available and eligibility

Yearly Fees(BTECH CSE): Tuition Fees-134300+134300=268600 Development Fees-33000*2=66000 TOTAL=334600(May Fluctuate by some amount every year). Increases by 15K-16K in each passing year. Hostel Fees-200000/-year Caution Money-Rs.20K(One Time, Refundable after completion of Program). Scholarship 1) Scholarship to Girl Students-is there for 2 girl students per course(Parent's income<=50K)->50% waiver in tuition fees. but cgpa of 7.5 should be maintained. 2)Scholarship to Board Toppers-50% waiver in tuition fees.cgpa of 7.5 should be maintained here as well. 3)AICTE TFW-Parents annual income should not exceed 8LPA. 4)William Webster Merit -cum means scholarship- 2 scholarships in each program. Students will get a tuition fee waiver equivalent to the tuition fee of 1 sem.Combined income of parents must be less than 8LPA.Scholarship is awared in even sem. cgpa of 7 should be maintained.

Course curriculum and teaching methods used in campus

Curriculum here is okay. Obviously for getting placed in a company we need to enhance our skills by ourselves apart from the regular college study. Yes, but if you want to prepare for exams like GATE and pursue further studies, then I would say the curriculum is good. Teaching can be improved if the faculties use white-board more instead of the ppts. Exams are held thrice per sem, difficulty is Medium.

Students view on hostel facilities

Facilites provided in the room- Almirah, Bed, Mattress, Table, chair, dustbin,cupboard. Washrooms and bathrooms are common. Meal quality is actually very nice unlike the mess in other colleges. Only somedays in the week it is not good otherwise its nice, so no complaints about that. Hostels are actually not very affordable. Fees is 1 lakh per sem and i don't think it matches the services they provide in hostel. even with such a high fees they have common washrooms and bathrooms. Registration of hostel is done at the time of counselling or you can visit the admin office and talk to them about getting the hostel

Students view on faculties and various examinations associated with the course

Faculty to student ratio=1:30 As already mentioned before most of the faculties are good here and they ensure that you get good grades )if you are a good student obviously). But there are very few teachers who just read the slides and do not give a proper insight to the topics. One more good thing about the faculties here that they encourage students to enhance their skills apart from the regular college study. There are 3 exams per sem (T1,T2,T3) T1-20marks per subject(syllabus covered before the exam starts), T2-20 marks per subject(syllabus covered after t1) ,T3- 35 marks per subject.(full syllabus). T1 and T2 is easy to medium level but T3 is a little hard. Try to score good in T1 and T2 because it is a little difficult to score in T3. after t1 lab tests are there and after t2 also lab tests are there. so exams keep happening here at JIIT. Very few students who don't study at all only fail to clear the exams, so don't worry about that

Admission process and eligibility criteria

Other colleges I applied to were Thapar Patiala, Manipal Jaipur, VIT, BITS, etc. Actually JIIT Noida is very close to my home as I live in Delhi. Also I was getting ECE instead of CSE in most of the colleges I applied for, but i got cse in JIIT-128 so I chose it after researching about the college on the internet. Admission here in BTech is done on either the basis of your JEE Mains Rank or percentage scored in 10+2 boards(Physics, Maths and any other 3rd subject).Offline counselling is done so you have to visit the sector-62 campus for counselling.50% students come from JEE MAINS rank and 50% students come from the 10+2 boards.

I had confirm admission in almost all the colleges in Noida like the Galgotias, the Sharda University and others but chose this as this is ranked higher than them and also it is best for doing CSE. Admission was based on UPSEE and JEE Mains.

My overall college experience challenges and highlights

Admission:

I choose Jaypee Institute of information and technology, Noida sector 60 2EC offered a good balance of academic discipline, decent placement and approximately to my hometown Aligarh. I had also applied to colleges like UPS Dehradun and I also gave JEE exam which I fairly passed and got few colleges, but it was very far from my hometown, so I chose to live close to my hometown and also Jaypee was providing me well academics Animation and JIIT had strong reputation and more structured environment. I couldn't make it to government top colleges like IITs due to high cut-off and lack of Delhi domicile, the admission process at JIIT was entirely online and based on JEE Main score without any separate entrance exam . I feel like JIIT was the most practical choice. Close to home. Academically focused in with our lab placement record, especially for the students willing to shift towards teck roles.

b) Candidates with gap year (if any) between their 10+2 and admission to UG programs will be required to submit a Gap Period Affidavit (available at the university website).

You need to have passed 12th with PCM to be eligible for admission to B.tech course at JIIT Noida and with PCB you are not eligible.
