Course Curriculum Overview

2

I would rate the course curriculum as average to good because it covers most of the important subjects that a student needs in this field. One reason I chose this course M&C was that it had subjects both from CSE and maths which i like the most and is often used while coding. The curriculum helps for real world work because it teaches the basic concepts that companies expect. The lab work also gives some hands on practice. It is also helpful if someone wants to study further because the core topics are covered in every semester. Still there are some areas where it can improve. Some subjects feel outdated as previously mentioned they have no real life use and the teaching methods can be more practical. More project work and internship should start from second year onwards. But most importantly student should get more time so that they can self study and prepare for their placements. We have two internal exams and one final exam in each semester. Every week there's something related to labs or assignments. The timing is fixed and comes after certain weeks. The exams are not very hard if you study a little every day but they become tough if you leave everything for the last moment. Overall the level is manageable but the frequency is too much, no time is left to do anything else.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship opportunities in the college are decent. Most students start getting options from the 5th semester. The training and placement cell brings companies for short internships and some seniors also share openings. Some of the companies that offered internships were google, microsoft and adobe. The roles were usually software intern, data intern or basic support intern. The stipend was different for each company. Some gave around 25 thousand per month and some were unpaid but gave a certificate. After talking to my seniors I got to know that during the internship the tasks were simple. They had to work on small projects like debugging an error or building websites or dealing with clients. These projects helped them understand how real work happens, improved their coding, teamwork skills and most importantly how to handle deadlines and write cleaner code. Overall the internship options are good enough and if you apply early you can get something useful for your resume.

Placement Experience

4

The placements in my college are good and most students start preparing from the 3rd year. We become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. Many companies come for drives like google, microsoft, jp morgan, atlassian and many more. They offer roles in software, analytics ,web and many core profiles. The highest package was around 96 lakh this around offered by linkedin and the average package stayed close to 12-13 lakh. Some companies offered 50 lakh packages for software roles and some offered around 30-49 for other corr profiles. Around 95% of students get placed every year. Some students who do not get placed try off campus or prepare for exams like GATE, UPSC or government jobs or end up doing start-ups. After completing my degree I plan to get a job as a SDE.

Fees and Financial Aid

In jiit the fees is taken every year and it increases per year by 1 lakh. In my year the tuition fees was 167300 per semester and along with that there was registration fees of 25000 which was one time and non refundable. Caution money is also collected which was 20000 for all programs and it's refundable after completion of course. There are development charges also which were 33000 per semester. So one full year cost me around 3,34,600.It increases per year The total for all four years comes close to 14,41,900 rupees. My batchmates in the management quota paid more. Their yearly fee was around 18,00,000. Scholarships are available. The main one is merit cum need. If you had good marks in class twelve or if you score a good CGPA in college then you can get up to 5% as scholarship. Some students also get the fee waiver scholarship.

Campus Life

3

My overall campus life experience has been decent. The social side is not very outgoing but you can still make friends if you talk to people in your class or hostel. There are a few clubs here and they organise small events. The crowd is mixed so you get to meet different kinds of students. The college has two main fests. The annual fest is around February which happen in both campuses 62 and 128 and the name changes every year. Other fest is the ethnic night which happens befor diwali at the end of Navratri. The library has a good number of books and basic journals. You can find study material for almost all subjects from placement related to government exams related. There are also computers where you can access online journals. The classrooms have projectors and screens and most rooms have working fans and lights. Some rooms have smart boards but not all work perfectly. The only bad thing about campus is it's ground. There's only 1 ground available which is not that big but every sports from cricket to badminton is played there only. But indoor games are available like table tennis and a room for playing squash is also available. Students can join different clubs like coding club, cultural club, music club, dance club and a few student run groups. These clubs help students learn new things and most importantly making new friends which is the most important thing.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facility is okay and it has the basic things that a student needs. The rooms have a bed, a cupboard, a study table and a chair. There is also a fan and a light in every room. Every room is equipped with an ac vent. The rooms are not very big but they are fine for normal use. The meal quality is average. Some days the food tastes good and some days it is not that great. The menu keeps changing every day but after a certain period it becomes as if we are eating same things since no new items are added to menu same things keep on repeating. But the hygeine of mess is very good. For hostel registration you have to fill the form and submit your documents. After that you get the allotment based on availability. The hostel fee is around 2 lakh per year and it is manageable for most students. If someone does not stay in the hostel they usually rent a PG or flat in nearby areas like indirapuram or sector 76. These localities are safe and very near go to the college The have shops and food places nearby so it becomes easy for daily needs.

Admission

I chose this college because it was the best private college option for me in terms of location, placement to fee ratio and the overall reputation. I had applied to colleges like Amity University, sharda University and vit vellore.I got confirmed admission in all but I felt that JIIT was more stable and it was near to my hometown too. The overall placement and internship packaged were also good. There were some colleges where I did not get admission because my rank was higher than their cutoff. In those colleges the competition was very high and I could not clear the required score. Ahh what went wrong was I could have studied harder and can get admission in a good nit. The admission process of this college is simple. Students need to pass 12th class with the required subjects. The college mostly accepts JEE Main as well 12th scores for admission. The cutoffs change every year depending on ranks. But for cse the last round for jee is around 90,000 and for different branches it's even more. After the score is accepted, the counselling starts and you have to fill your choices. My overall admission experience was fine. The instructions were clear, the seniors helped with the documents and the process did not feel confusing. That is why I ended up choosing this college.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is decent and most classes do not feel crowded. The batch size of each course is around 30-40 which is amazingly very less as compared to other private colleges. Most teachers are usually easy to approach and they answer doubts after class also except few which are very strict and also have zero knowledge about their subjects. The teachers I liked the most till now were richa mam who was our MATHS teacher and amitesh sir who was our DSA teacher because they used simple examples while teaching and they never ignored doubts, apart from that they give very friendly vibes. I used to even share my personal problem with them. Some other teachers like dinesh sir and deepika mam were also good because they give attendance easily. Never shows any attidude towards any student. But yeah were a few teachers I did not like much although I can't mention their names but yeah because their way of teaching was very fast and it was hard to understand the topics, apart from that some of them had no knowledge of their subjects. The course structure is divided into three classes theory classes, labs and tutorials. Every semester has internal tests, quizzes and then the final exam. There are usually two internal exams which are T1 and T2 and one final exam. The marking scheme includes internals, attendance and practical marks. The papers are not very hard but if you do not study regularly then it becomes difficult near the end. A small number of students fail but most pass if they attend classes as the exams are not that hard really. The curriculum is mostly relevant but some subjects like evs, uhv feel old and not very useful for placements.

Night Life

3

The nightlife around my college is simple only. Inside the campus there is not much to do at night because most places close early. The gym closes around 8 pm and there's only 1 cafeteria which also shuts by 11pm. The library is open till 8:30 pm. After that most people go back to their hostel rooms. The hostel timings are fixed. The entry time is around 9 pm and after that you cannot go outside also can't come inside otherwise fine is imposed. Hostel students sit together, talk, play games or watch something on their laptops. That is the normal way people relax after classes. Outside the college there are a few hangout spots. Students usually go to Majnu ka tilla and hauz khas for food or to chill. These places are not very far so it is easy to go in the evening. The area around the college is safe to roam at night since the college is at the centre of noida. Overall the nightlife is not very active but it is peaceful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose B.Tech CSE course as I am interested in Computer and Coding. Don't go behind the trend. Choose the course according to your interest. Every course and specialization is difficult in its own. Personally I suggest if you took addmission and you are in 1st semester, please focus on your studies. Don't kept roaming and bunking classes as 75% attendance is also necessary.

The curriculum is Totally academic level which is easy to moderate There are only one or two coding subjects which is done in form of workshops The overall syllabus is good but old and is related to aktu syllabus which needs a change and won't help in technical field a lot Curriculum is still moderate and easy to clear but still some students are back and detained due to less attendance Which is the biggest issue in this college that is 85% u can only take 6-7 holidays in a semester which is so less and two three holiday will let u detained in sessionals which will overall decrease the internal marks in your overall cgpa of college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects like ITC, COI influenced me as why they are in the curriculum they don't provide any skills for the engineering students. Students also studies these subjects in one day and give exam and they forget these subjects add no importance in the curriculum. There are subjects like acquiring buisness communication which helps us to improve our conversation skills confidence that is helpful in the future while interviews. The improvement in the subjects which is not useful for engineering and to increase more things which helps us in coding make us skill good. The frequency and timings of exams are quite tough there are consecutive classes along sessional exams student always stressed and the attendance is also higher so the student can't also take leave for his own mentality stability and to relax . The difficulty is quite high .

Giving them free attendance for that thing . The frequency of exams are about 20 days .
