Choosing JIIT (Jaypee Institute of Information Technology) in Noida over Sharda University for a B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) can be influenced by several factors. Reputation: JIIT is a deemed university under section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956. JIIT was ranked 101st in the engineering category by NIRF in 2023. This institute has proven its academic excellence for the past 22 years.

It is safe to conclude that if you prioritize academic reputation, a demanding academic environment with experienced faculty, well-established infrastructure, a competitive peer group, and the potential benefits of national recognition and a strong alumni network, choosing JIIT (Jaypee Institute of Information Technology) over Sharda University for your B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) can be a positive decision. 

There are several factors which one can consider while comparing two institutions. Here are some things that I considered while choosing my college.

NIT Hamirpur will offer you the prestigious ‘NIT’ tag. As compared to other colleges in this region, the environment over there is superior. By environment I mean the learning, interaction and personal development offered at an institution. The placements are continuously improving with new companies visiting the campus each year, offering better packages. This college has shown positive growth in terms of exposure and student- teacher interaction as well.

Even though I’m a student of NIT Hamirpur, my opinion is devoid of such biases. Thus, according to me, NIT Hamirpur is a better choice for your CSE program. 

The choice between MAIT IT and Jaypee CSE totally depends on your preferences although there aren’t many differences between the branches. An important parameter you would like to consider is the fees since Jaypee charges high fees in contrast to MAIT. Both are reputed institutions of Delhi NCR.

Had you asked this question 4-5 years ago, the common answer would have been Thapar University. However, things have changed a lot in the last few years. Here are some reasons why I would suggest you to go for JIIT Noida for your B.Tech CSE-

1. The crowd quality at Thapar University has gone down drastically. The reasons behind this are a 50% quota for Punjab students and the enormous increase in the number of seats. Both these actions have resulted in very low cut offs. The cutoff rank for Punjab students in JEE Mains is 1.5 Lakh+ for CSE department. The closing rank of JIIT Noida for the same is around 51 K+. Thus, the crowd is better in JIIT Noida as compared to Thapar.
2. The batch size at Thapar University is much bigger than JIIT N. Thapar University has a batch size of 1200+ students for Computers while JIIT Noida has a batch size of only 250+ students. A smaller batch size means more placement opportunities and better attention towards the learning of each student.
3. Location-wise, NCR offers more opportunities than Patiala. You will get numerous opportunities in NCR like trade shows, conferences, training, better placements, etc. Gurgaon and Noida are the new IT Hubs, second only to Bangalore and at par with Hyderabad and Pune. As a CSE student, you should prefer Noida over Patiala. 
4. Though Thapar University has a bigger campus of 250 acres, your life will mostly revolve around your classrooms, nearby areas and your hostel. Thus, the smaller campus of JIIT N should not be that big an obstacle.
5. The average package for B.Tech CSE is around INR 13.28 LPA at JIIT Noida, which is better than Thapar University in which the average package for the UG stream stands at around INR 10.97 LPA. Studying at JIIT Noida is also around 30-40% cheaper than Thapar.

Thus, at present, CSE from JIIT Noida is a much better choice.

If you want better infrastructure and exposure, and money is not an issue for you, choose CS/ECE Jaypee Noida. Regarding placements, speak with the seniors at Jaypee. 

In terms of placement, IET Lucknow will undoubtedly provide you with numerous opportunities. You will be given a variety of opportunities, and there will be no limitations imposed by the college administration team.

 It would be recommended to choose Nirma University for CE. There are various reasons that prove the same. 

Nirma University is known for its strong academic programs, high-quality teaching-learning processes, and emphasis on overall personality development in its students. A mix of young and experienced faculty members who are dedicated to teaching and research has proven to be the best mentors for aspiring engineers. is NAAC 'A+' grade accredited in 2022, indicating that quality standards are followed in all aspects of education delivery. The institute is also ranked 125th by the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) and stands out among the country's 4000+ engineering colleges.

One of the first advantages that this course may provide to candidates is the opportunity to pursue global career opportunities. Candidates could gain technical skills such as programming, leadership, problem-solving, and so on, which could easily lead to a better future in various fields in the coming years.

On an overall scale, JUIT is the best option among these. It has an excellent faculty base. JUIT placements are good. Students of the institute receive an average CTC of around INR 5.67 LPA. While the highest CTC offered through campus placements is around INR 32 LPA. Infosys, Amazon, Google, etc. were among the top recruiters for JUIT.
