A Straightforward Review of JIIT Noida

Likes

Most of the classrooms are clean and the labs also have the basic things needed for practicals. The overall atmosphere is decent for a student.
The placement cell is active and they call many companies for internships and jobs.
Most teachers have good knowledge and are cooperative. Seniors are very chill and very helpful and really help a lot in making us understand what to do.

Dislikes

Some of the facilities like wifi and a few labs stop working at times and it takes time to fix them which gets irritating during exams.
Campus life is not very lively and there are not many events or fests compared to other colleges.
The curriculum feels very heavy. After every week there's something either lab test, practicals, project submission or our exams.

I chose this college because it was the best private college option for me in terms of location, placement to fee ratio and the overall reputation. I had applied to colleges like Amity University, sharda University and vit vellore.I got confirmed admission in all but I felt that JIIT was more stable and it was near to my hometown too. The overall placement and internship packaged were also good. There were some colleges where I did not get admission because my rank was higher than their cutoff. In those colleges the competition was very high and I could not clear the required score. Ahh what went wrong was I could have studied harder and can get admission in a good nit. The admission process of this college is simple. Students need to pass 12th class with the required subjects. The college mostly accepts JEE Main as well 12th scores for admission. The cutoffs change every year depending on ranks. But for cse the last round for jee is around 90,000 and for different branches it's even more. After the score is accepted, the counselling starts and you have to fill your choices. My overall admission experience was fine. The instructions were clear, the seniors helped with the documents and the process did not feel confusing. That is why I ended up choosing this college.

JIIT can make any college Jealous!!

Likes

Academics wise our college rocks as it has one of the best courses.
Hostel rooms wer air-conditioned and that helped us survive the scorching waves during summers.
Nearly 20 odd workshops have been included in our course and it will be around 30 by the time I finish.

Dislikes

The fees of hostel keeps increasing every year and this shouldn't have happened.

Admission:

I had confirm admission in almost all the colleges in Noida like the Galgotias, the Sharda University and others but chose this as this is ranked higher than them and also it is best for doing CSE. Admission was based on UPSEE and JEE Mains.

Likes

I liked the discipline in college, there is uniform for every programme.
I liked some teachers who were trying to teach beyond books.
I also liked the maintenance of ground, students enjoy sun during winters.

Dislikes

It doesn’t encourage much beyond the degree knowledge
Some teachers need to be replaced as they lack the abilities.
Not much space to play games like badminton cricket etc

Admission:

I chose this college because I was short of options and it was not too far from my home. I applied to du through giving cuet but I filled the form wrong which gave me colleges I didn't want so I ended up here .

coding culture of the college is pretty decent
seniors are very much helpful and will talk to u in a good way
academics is good and some faculties are also good

Dislikes

fees is on the higher side thats why roi is not that much good
campus is very small u will not enjoy much
college has a dress code which is compulsory to maintain

main reason of choosing this college was it was decent college and many youtubers suggested it and i do not wanted to drop and do the jee prep so on the basis of by 12th percentage i got it here and i am happy with it

My overall college experience challenges and highlights

Likes

The college has a very neat, peaceful and disciplined environment. You won’t find unnecessary chaos or distraction. Good place to stay focused.
The faculty is quite experienced. In course subject in the classes are conducted on time strict, which build consistency.
The infrastructure is well kept, With clean classrooms, AC labs and good library, the Wi-Fi is stable and the campus feel secure

Dislikes

it is non-residential campus for many. It lacks that buzzing college life vibe. After classes, social activities could be more Engaging.
I fail the college didn’t bring many core companies for placement more students prepare for software roles due to limited core options
While technical fest organised cultural activities in college fest, unlimited, other colleges have more happening environment in that sense.

Admission:

I choose Jaypee Institute of information and technology, Noida sector 60 2EC offered a good balance of academic discipline, decent placement and approximately to my hometown Aligarh. I had also applied to colleges like UPS Dehradun and I also gave JEE exam which I fairly passed and got few colleges, but it was very far from my hometown, so I chose to live close to my hometown and also Jaypee was providing me well academics Animation and JIIT had strong reputation and more structured environment. I couldn't make it to government top colleges like IITs due to high cut-off and lack of Delhi domicile, the admission process at JIIT was entirely online and based on JEE Main score without any separate entrance exam . I feel like JIIT was the most practical choice. Close to home. Academically focused in with our lab placement record, especially for the students willing to shift towards teck roles.

Quality of education- Professors are highly qualified and they teach you practically
Co-curricular activities- JIIT is really active in co-curriculars activities
Placements- Placements are really good and they prepare you well during 3rd year to sit for placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria- You have to maintain 70% attendance per sem
Too many assignments- Sometimes you have too many assignments to do
Charge extra money for conducting fests and fests are not upto the mark

Admission:

I did not apply to any other college. But from what I have friends pursuing the sme course from different colleges and this includes Amity, DY Patil,etc but they are like very expensive colleges. They charge very high fees.

choosing jiit noida : the right step in the right direction?

the curriculum is well structured especially for cse branch most faculty members are knowledegable and well ualified often with phds
the campus is clean green and well maintained classrooms are airconditioned and labs are with good infrastructure
opportunities in my college are decent coding culture here is also very decent

Dislikes

campus is relatively small and hostel life is not vibrant as many other colleges hostels have
placement are very much skewed in favour of cse and it
high fees with the limited scolarship roi is not that much good

the area specially jaypee wish town is really good it is very clean .
quality of education is also good. THE professor are really well qualified .
the placement cell is also god. many big companies came here for employee.

Dislikes

they are more focusing on exams . there is lot of exams
the bulilding of sector 128 is not so good
teachers are not always helpful they only focus to complete the syllabus

I choose this college because i did not perform very well in jee mains. talking about private colleges it is good enough int terms of placements it is one of top college in noida so that is the reason i choodese jiit

Likes

College is overall focused on studies and not anything else.
College doesn't invite no use peoples to the campus.
The girls is to boys ratio is 1:2, which is 10 girls in every batch of a total of 30 students.

Dislikes

The college curriculam is quite tough to follow.
College has a no use uniform which it shouldn't have.
The college campus is very small, just like a school.

Admission:

This college is one of the best college in terms of placement in Delhi-NCR. It is just after IIT, IIIT and NIT, JNU level institutions. This is the best private college. It can be said just after BITS-Pilani.

Course planning is very nice and also nice teaching .
Also seniors arw very helping here. They always help us.
Also boys to girls ratio is very good. Batch size also very good about 30 per batch

Dislikes

Fees is very high here . Also hostel fees very high
Infrastructure not so good. You cant enjoy campus life
Fests organisations very bad.no special in fests

Admission:

Actually i likes the CSE here due to placements and also area advantage of noida and also its reviews are very good. I got civil in nit jalandhar but i want cse so i chose it. Even i got thapar but its fees very high so chose it
