VIT Vellore Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placements of VIT are pretty decent, keeping in mind the huge intake it has. Major companies from all fields come to VIT to recruit engineers. The current placement round is still going on, but from rumours the highest package has gone for around 1 crore. Students can apply for a job from the 8th semester. The 7th semester is gone into a compulsory internship. I have a particular interest in research, so my plans after getting my degree would be to attempt to pursue a master's degree abroad or give GATE.

From 6th semester the students are eligible for placements and they should have to complete certain number of credits to get eligible for placements. There are nearly 150 companies that visit our campus for placements like TCS, Infosis, Wipro, Google, Amazon etc. The highest package is 1 crore and the company that provides highest offers is TCS.

in our college we have well enough placements for the students who are scoring above 8 cgpa .but i our campus it is some what difficult to get placement students who are having cgpa less than 8 cgpa, apart from that remaining all are fine

Internships start from the 3rd year onwards. All high end as well as government run companies come to VIT to recruit fresh biotechnologists. The average package is 12 Lpa. And while the lowest package is around 6-7lpa the highest can go upto 24Lpa for B. Tech in Biotechnology in VIT. Even though the placement percentage is around 75%-80%, many students prefer higher studies because biotechnology is one such field which people study for becoming scientists and doing PhDs.

From 6th semester the students will be eligible for campus placements here. Most reputated companies like Amazon , Google , Accenture and many more visited here and many students placed there. From last year analysis university has given almost 11000+ placements.

Curriculum is good but what we have only less time to cope up all semester and internals externals everything but yeah we are trying to manage it and everything is going fine to be frank teaching is also fine

The campus placements are excellent in VIT considering the current market scenarios. The college has a centralized placements for all the campuses and over 800 companies visit throughout the year recruiting students across different branches. The average package offered for IT related branches was around 10 lpa while for circuit branches it ranged between 7-8lpa. The biggest recruiter was motorq which hired two students for a package of 1.2 crores.

From the last four,five years the placements is good in this university.From that placements there is well placed students are mostly of Computer Science and Engeneering course.so i think that it is better to get a placement from this course.

From the second last sem onwards they will become eligible for campus placements. Many companies will visit including amazon, tcs, infosys, microlab, bajaj and so on. They will offer an avg package of 6 lpa. The last years highest package that is the super dream offer was 1.5 crore which was bagged by two smart students. About 80% will get placed. About me, after completion of postgraduation, i will look for some placements or else i will go for higher studies.

The curriculum is alright in my opinion i feel like they are pretty out dated the syllabus has been the same for about 30-40 years now and definitely needs an update collges in india need more practical life experience as well
