Nit trichy has an excellent placement record with a large number of students placed in to top companies every year, the institute's has strong industry connection and career development program
Their way of teaching is really good and impressive, they make concepts easy to understand.
You get a scholarship...if you have some reservations but on the contrary, the college set is not that costly compared to other colleges and the roi is good here, you'll get placed in a nice company in the end anyways

Dislikes

The wifi service is very poor in the hostel and even mobile network is bad due to its remote location.
Room is spacious but the hostel maintainance is so bad as compared to the college maintenance.
This college is very old. so infrastructures are not that good. wifi facility is very poor

I liked the aura of being with people across the country and over the country as well
Liked the places nearby. Pretty good for outing and all.
I liked being in a place where people are really helpful in all kinds.

Dislikes

It's really difficult to converse with people due to language issue
Very challenging to go for outing in a sunny day. Really got sunburns

The students here are eligible to get a college placement at their 3rd of course. On which there are many companies that visited here such as - Amazon, PayPal, Texas Industries, Qualcomm, and many more. The Average package here was around 1500000 per annum and the highest reached upto 7500000 per annum. I am currently planning for ISRO as a scientist there.

NIT Trichy- An insight

Likes

The campus is pretty huge and you need to get everywhere by cycling.
You get to mingle with like-minded people from all over India.
There are several interesting courses in the curriculum.

Dislikes

The mess food isn't great, but it's better than in most places.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The first year for any branch is pretty identical. You just learn about the basics of engineering. It's only in the later semesters when the courses become branch specific. You will have two CTs and a final end semester exam.

Hostel facilities are good but hostel room is okay not excellent
Girls should not go out after 9pm it is not fair we too wanna enjoy the late nights

I really liked the campus, like it is very big you will feel literally a small city inside it.
There are many peoples to interact with all with great minds, even there are 4-5 fests per year, you can take part in thier organising team in the first year itself so that you will not feel bored here.

Dislikes

The hostels are old hostels, they need improvement. I felt disappointing after coming in the hostels.
The mees food is not that good in first year, but while coming in the second year, you can choose your mess in whichever you are willing to eat.
There are no ACs in classroom and it's very hot in the summer.

Placement Experience:

After completing the course only you are eligible for campus placements. But if you done internship in a company and the company is impressed by your work so the pre-placed you in the company. After the course completion, you can join. Software companies like Google, Microsoft,etc. and reliance, Infosys,etc. around 150 companies comes including startups as well. Placements percentage are around 75-90 percent depending on department. My plans are for MBA abroad.

The campus itself is very pretty and beautiful.
There are many activities going around all throughout the semester.
The clubs are all very inclusive and active.

The weather is pretty hot and can reach upto 45.
There is a bit if discrimination for non South Indians.
If you are north Indian you will miss your own food a lot.

Friends because trust me the ones made in first year do last till end
Some great profs which mades subject interesting, otherwise which other half just rush through ppts
Internships offered in 2nd,3rd years play useful in determining one's career

Unhealthy competition in class and poor classroom atmosphere.

Core curriculum is outdated.We are still learning about architecture of 8086 and 8051,whereas technology has gone way beyond .Industry skills don't match curriculum considering ECE.However there are many minor courses,open electives and nptel courses which you can study to stay updated.

NIT Trichy - a boon for the extraordinary who survive JEE

Firstly, the 800 acres of campus provides ample of amount of space for recreational activities like sports, cycling and roaming around with friends. The buildings are maintained well, there is a canteen at almost every corner of campus.
Thirdly, the infrastructure of the campus is very advanced from a technical standpoint. The interconnectivity is immense.
Fourth, the culture of clubs is very very good and helps in overall skill development of an individual.

Dislikes

Hostel facilities can be improved alot, for example Hostel WiFi rarely works. Some buildings are in desperate need for restoration (hostel buildings, academic buildings are very up to date).
The faculty can be very orthodox and rigorous in their methodologies at times. They can be very strict, very obstinate at times.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are very good. For ECE, the average is ~20L. The thing is, you can go for management, data analytics, core ECE or software. The highest package is usually around 40-50L, the median being 21L. The companies include NVIDIA, Uber, Qualcomm, P&G, McKinsey, Google, Amazon, Rubrics, Texas Instruments and so on. Enough opportunities are there for students to go for highers as well, the institute has tie-ins with international institutes and helps alot with LORs and the procedure to apply as well.

Life here is pretty fast-paced and apart from academics, NIT Trichy also has an equal balance of extracurricular activities. There are more than 50 student-driven clubs that encourage the active participation of students. These clubs instill a sense of equality among the students irrespective of their academic profiles. NIT Trichy gives you the opportunity to pursue your passions boldly.

The climate here is a bit unbearable and the location is kind of remote. You will find it difficult to adjust here in the initial months but once you have adapted yourself to the ambiance here, the real fun starts.

As a B.Tech EEE student, you’ll have classes and labs all day long. The faculty is experienced. Most of them are friendly and supportive, but you can only rely on self-study. You’ll have some of the brightest students as your peers. Try to befriend some of them as they will help you a lot in studies.

NIT Trichy is comparable to some of the old IITs, in terms of placements. Almost all the students of B.Tech EEE are successfully placed each year, and some of them even bag multiple offers. Those who don’t sit for placements, opt for higher studies in prestigious Indian and foreign universities.

NIT Trichy will offer you an awesome campus culture, and lifelong memories. Its EEE branch is hectic, but rewarding at the same time.

I am currently studying ECE at NIT Trichy. So far, I’ve had an amazing experience. During the first two years, you will deal with Core Electronics. In the first year, every branch studies the same subjects to brush up on concepts learned in senior classes at school. The next two years deal with the Communication part. You will get to choose electives from various options like image processing, etc.

All the branches are equally good and each offers ample opportunities in terms of scholarships. The ECE branch has a very good reputation and the faculty is quite good. Some teachers can even teach more than two subjects with subjects ranging from Digital Electronics to Signal Processing and Data Structures (elective). NIT Trichy follows a Relative Grading System (RG).

Thus, the NIT Trichy ECE branch is a great choice.
