How are SLIET placements? Where u look sliet aftrr 5 years in terms of placement and standard?

As per our market research placements at SLIET are okay right now. Students from Computer and Electronics branches get better jobs, with average salaries between INR 3 LPA to INR 6 LPA. For other branches, it depends more on how skilled the students are and if the student has done internships. In the next 5 years, SLIET can get much better if it brings more companies, improves training.

How are the placement opportunities at SLIET for core branches like Mechanical, ECE, and Electrical?

Placement opportunities for core branches at SLIET are decent but also competitive. Companies like TATA, L&T, and a few PSUs do visit, but the number of core companies is limited compared to IT. Most students prepare for GATE or look for off-campus options. However, if you have good technical skills and maintain a strong CGPA, you have a fair shot.

Are internships mandatory or useful for placements at SLIET?

Internships are not mandatory at SLIET, but they are very useful for getting good placements. Specially College environment is very good and faculty aslo were amazing

Extracurricular activities : there were a numerous extracurricular activties only i hope to conduct more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course and curriculum are so good and the teachers teach everything very well. The syllabus is also very easy. Courses they provide are very latest and the way of teaching is best in Sliet college.

Good College but with a Catch

Likes

Campus is lush green. You will get pollution free environment for study.
Infrastructure of this college is quite good compared to peer colleges.
Hostel facility is quite affordable and well maintained.

Dislikes

Curfew Hours for girls after 6PM in the Campus
Institute Administration don't coordinate in favourable manner.
Technical and Cultural fest are not that good.

Placement Experience:

3rd years students are eligible for internship opportunities through training and placement department of the institute. Average placement ranges from 3-4 LPA and highest placement is 25 LPA. Most of the people in the campus are not motivated at all. So, they don't focus on anything. They just complete the degree.

SLIET: A underrated college

Likes

Great Infrastructure having huge buildings with latest facilities.
Lush green campus having more than 10k + trees which makes campus very beautiful.
Faculties are very well qualified, most of them are IITians.

Dislikes

Placement rate of our college is very low. It must be improved.
There are a lot of restrictions which is not good for students.
There is a lack of coding culture in the campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement of our college is quite low, average is ariund 4 - 5 LPA. CS offers a little better placements of around 7-8 LPA. Around 50 - 60 percent students are placed. Companies like infosys, TCS, wipro, JP morgan chase and co.,etc comes during placement season. Highest On campus placement is 24 LPA and this year it is around 21 LPA, and 36 LPA is Highest Off Campus placement. Some of the students do not prefer placements they go higher studies and competative exams like GATE, CAT, UPSC, etc. I do prefer pursuing M.Tech after my B.E.

First thing you you get here too much free time to do anything.
You can easily get good marks if you study. You don't have to worry about grades here
Big campus and too much greenery are here so you get fresh air.

Dislikes

Too much cold and too much hot you feel here and here is very low rain rate.
Mess food is not good here, and specially in noon. Yes you get special foods sometime in the week.
Faculty is educated but don't want to teach properly. It also may be because students also don't want to study.

Placement Experience:

Placements of this college have been average from some years but since last two years it is improving. The average package is almost 5 LPA if you have studied something. Here is training and placement cell which conducts trainings and tests for placements. It regularly conducts different different contests. It also calls industry mans to guide the students. In some previous month they called love babbar, who is a famous tech teacher in computer science department.

Likes

campus : campus is really very good with 550+acres of land coverage
Facilities : students have many options to explore among themselves by choosing clubs of technical , non technical, social and sports clubs
Hostel : hostels are really very good with facilities such as wifi, tv rooms , badminton courts etc are really very good

Dislikes

Placements : the median package is low as compared to other collages
Very large campus , we require to walk a lot from department to hostel and vice versa

Placement Experience:

we do have placement drives in collage , from 7th semester one is eligible for placements . companies such has wipro delloite amul tata group of companies reliance goldman sack etc visited with their requirment offers. the highest package from collage is around 24 lakhs and the median package is around 4.5-5 lakhs , the percentage of students getting placed is around 85% . my plan after getting degree is to go for higher studies i.e doing mtech and phd

Story of my Life at university

Likes

I like the infrastructure of the college and its greenery.
I like the availability of all kind of sports facilities along with coaches.
i like the library and avilability of all books of internation and national authors.

Dislikes

The connectivity issues from the main city.
Only giving out 1gb of high speed internet for bachelor students.
No part time jobs availibility in nearby areas

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are good and are getting better day by day. Our alumni are working in companies like Google and Microsoft. The students who do not participate in placements are preparing for exams like GATE , CAT and GRE for masters degree.

True side of SLIET

Likes

The campus life our college is so good which I like the most.
Every college has library but in our sliet we also have digital library where so many computer are available for every student
The faculties are very good there . There help us so much

Dislikes

They only give 1 GB data per day which is very less
The message food is very bad our hostel which I don't like at all
Our college is very far from the main city . Because the area where our college is not developed, the shops are closed around 7 pm in our college area

Placement Experience:

The placement ratio of our college is very good. The highest package offered by our college is 18 LPA. And the average package is 3LPA. So many companies visited in our college every year I e. Z scaler, Wipro, JSW, pkka etc. My plans after getting degree is to become entrepreneur

Our campus is very good, the students are also very good there also the faculties.

Our college is very far from the main city, we are totally dependent on bus timing
our college give only 1gb data per day which is very less

Placement Experience:

Don't come with high expectaions -> Our college provides placements. -> but the highest package of our college is not equal to the lowest packages of some colleges. -> the average package of our college is 3-4 LPA -> My plans after getting degree is to go for self-employment and also to give placements to my juniors

My side story of SLIET

Likes

The things which I most liked is Campus,all religious temples.
helpful friends and seniors which are always there to help in exam and various things.
Different fest are held which are great source of entertainment,refreshment and exposure.

Dislikes

Very far from main city,poor connectivity
Faculty are average,some labs are very poorly maintained
No nearby good market for any good things,restricts good exposure of big city

Placement Experience:

Placement is quite mattern of concern of college and placement authority. Highest placement is 21 lakh where as average package lies only at 4 lakh. Although there has been many workshops held to improve it but yet not much improvement seen.

Overview Of SLIET

Likes

Our campus is very good, the students are also very good there also the faculties.
in our college each and everything is available canteen, restaurant, chat shop, dosa shop, stationary shop, tailor shop, photo studio etc.
in our sliet we have temple but we also have h=gurudwara and mosque

our college is very far from the main city, we are totally dependent on bus timing
