My side story of SLIET

The course curriculum of our college is above average in terms of relevance.Course is well designed and has been maintained as per industry standard.The course is desgined not only for theoretical but for practical application so in that process lab are maintained and experiments are done sincerely as per our course curriculum. So overall I would rate 8 out of 10.

Placement is quite mattern of concern of college and placement authority. Highest placement is 21 lakh where as average package lies only at 4 lakh. Although there has been many workshops held to improve it but yet not much improvement seen.

Fee structure of college is quite affordable.It is around 3 lakh(2,90,000) dividing which rupees almost 35,000 rupees needed for each semester .Hostel fee is also included in this fee structure.College also provides fee waiver to some top JEE rankers of the class. There are different groups ,clubs and placement cell which works actively and helps the students in scholarship,fiinancial and campus placement.

Our college is situated in longowal of sangur district of Punjab but its campus in maintained properly. Its good experiance of greenery all over campus.There are different fests like cultural fest namely Madhuram which is conducted in october months and tech fest are organised in march-april month which makes our campus life beautifull. Infrastructure is above average and better than some nit colleges.Classes and labs are properly maintained.There are lots of social,technical and many different groups and clubs aiming for all round development of college students.

Hostels are provied while admission into the college.You need to submit certain required documents and you are done. Talking about facility,Hostel facilities of the college is quite average.Although there are some facilties for tv and sports but again mess is very disappointing.

Admission process is quite easy and clear.There are various admission process of different course like diploma,Btech,Mtech and Phd.I got admitted through an entrance examination JEE MAIN which is conducted by NTA every year.After the result of the examination, JoSAA and CSAB are two bodies which allot colleges on the basis of percentile obtained in the JEE EXAM. Talking about the cutoff of our college,you can get Computer Science to Food technology if you rank varies from 60 -70k to 2-3lakh excluding reservation advantages.
