A clear view of lovely professional university

Likes

Cultural and Co-curricular activities are given a good amount of importance.
Faculties here are always ready to help students and love seeing them excel in their field.
Cultural diversity can be seen here as students from various countries like Africa, Japan, Bhutan etc come to study in this prestigious college.

Dislikes

Some teachers here are biased towards particular students.
If you want to get your work done you’ll always have to go to the admission block.
Sometimes the apps provided by Lpu for students have bugs and it’s difficult for the students at times.

Placement Experience:

The course I am pursuing is Ba. Hons. Geography. After doing this particular course there are no special placements or job opportunities; one will surely have to pursue masters after this course to find a suitable job with a good earning. As per my choice I will be pursuing masters after completion of this course which will help me find a good job. The placements in other courses are really good.

I like the college facilities such as the lab facilities and the equipments they provide for bsc forensic science students. The labs are very well equipped and and the faculty is also having adequate knowledge and training experience and friendly
I like the college infrastructure. The environment is very welcoming and peaceful with a lot of greenery. I personally like the spots to hangout with friends and also like the vibe they give out.

Dislikes

Some of the assignments assigned are a bit of out of context and not related to forensic science. However i believe it for our personally understanding and as a part of general knowledge.
During the first few years of college there were a lot of classes mostly from 9-5. Also some of the subjects were physics and chemistry. However those subjects were assigned to give us a basic definition of the subjects which we further studied.

Placement Experience:

The placement facilities are great in this university as it provides almost 100% scholarships to all the students in the university. The students are eligible for campus placements right from 4th or 5th semester. There are seperate placement classes for the students. There were several offers placed in the college and several companies have visited the college as a part of the placement drive. My plans after getting the degree is to go abroad and complete my masters in forensic science preferably psychology as my specialization.

Lovely Professional University review

I really love the infrastructure and environment of this college.
You are never gonna get bored because there are always some fests and events going on.
The teachers and mentors are good and understanding.

Dislikes

The hostel fee structure is not good. It is 100000 for 10months of 4 seater room.

Placements at lovely Professional University are strong point, with students becoming eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, depending on the program. the university has a dedicated placement cell that collaborates with top tuer companies like amazon, cognizant, capgemini, infosys etc.

The campus and its infrastructure including parks classes etc
The systematic manner of everything conducted in university
Clubs and events organization which makes university life more enjoyable

Dislikes

University seems to be very strict about rules
Many faculties are new in profession which creates a bit learning difficulty
Fees taking for everycourse is high and placement offered are less too

Placements are all lies They claim that they give best placement but its not true heard from Seniors and some faculty that they just making students fool by saying placement is guaranteed indeed they Ask more money to sit in placements

Great but requires some improvement.

I liked the campus life alot as there are several events and competitions held in campus on a regular basis you won't be burdened with studies all the time. The college will encourage you to participate in different activities.
Often faculties are highly qualified and the infrastructure of the campus is also awesome. There are fully ventilated classrooms and power is also available 24/7.
Course curriculum is also great and the curriculum keeps getting updated as per the industrial requirements.

Dislikes

The biggest disappointment was the placement services as a good number of company drives were happening in the college but most of the companies were hiring for non technical roles. I was a cs student from 2024 batch and the placement was awful.
They are best strict regarding the attendance criteria like even if a person is critically ill they won't acknowledge any medical reports whatsover.
The nearby area to the campus is very poor. There's no law and order like from the campus gate there are 3 liquor shops within one km radius.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after their 5th semester and lot of companies visit our campus. Companies like KPIT, cognizant,dxc technology, Tech Mahindra, Cleartax conducted placement drives in our campus for the software engineer role and generally the package offered was in the range 4 to 8 lpa. And then there are mostly non tech roles offered via different companies to even cse students. 2024 was the worst year in terms of placement as per my knowledge.

college infrastructure all around is very well maintained and good
there is a lot of club facilties there ,so we can work upon that
lot of technical events happening there. We can participate in it for free

Dislikes

faculties are very inexperienced for teaching , usually students dont understand their teaching.
high fees for sem and hostel and everything they are providing
they are not providing enough facilities that they are showing in their ads.

Logical and genuine review

Atmosphere of the college was pretty good
Faculty is coordinating with students in all ways possible
No ragging and unnecessary kinds of thing happens in lpu. Its good in the field of security wise.

Dislikes

Some rules were useless and unnecessary strict .
Placement cell takes more than enough time to resolve the query.
Everything was online. If you have any issue , first you need to file an online rms and after 2-3 days you will get the feedback

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester company starts to be visible on placement portal. Many companies like TCS, Capgemini, kpit etc visited the campus. Highest package was about 12 lpa and the average package is around 4-5 lpa. In 2024 , percentage of students getting placement declined due to recession and only 30-40% only got placed. I've completed the degree, and got the placement in the company Capgemini.

I completed BTech CSE from LPU back in 2016. You might say that LPU has changed since then, but I am still in touch with my juniors and here is my experience:

Placements: More than 550+ MNCs and startups visit the LPU campus for placement. In recent news, Yasir M., student of LPU, grabbed an offer of INR 3 crore in Germany. The highest CTC offered for the engineering programs at LPU is INR 42 LPA.
Scholarships: People might think LPU is pricey since it is a private colleges, but LPU provides scholarships to bright students with good academic records, good track record in sports, or extracurricular activities. LPU also helps students in the education loan facility.
Research: In terms of research, Stanford University has ranked almost 13 LPU faculty members amongst the top 2% of scientists in the world.
Faculty: The faculty members are from top institutes like IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities globally.

I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-

The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.

Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:
