Course Curriculum Overview

3

In this college many extra co curricular activities takes place where students can grow there communication skills and other talents and win many prizes. College helps them to make them successful in the life There are hackton takes place in which you can prove your coding skills and many more competitions. They should not give work like my perfectice, codetantra neocolab practices as the homework becouse it waste so much time of the students

Internships Opportunities

3

Many companies offerd internship for 6 months and 1 year and then give CTC to the students. But in most of the cases you have to find internship from off campus like from linked in and other websites. You have to make projects to get intership and job as well as because it's very important to show them your implementation. College also give many projects to students so they can grow there skills .

Placement Experience

3

In the Sixth semester students are eligible for the placement. There are many companies which visit in the campus like IBM, Infosys, Capgemini, simple games ,TCS etc Highest package is 24 lakh per annum and the average package is 5 lakh per annum. 94 % students get placement. I want to take placement from this college if I will not get then also I will search for the job after the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The actual yearly fees of my course is 240000 but I got scholarship of 40% per semester so my tuition fees is 144000 per year The examination fees is 8000 per year so the total fees is 152000 yearly I have given the scholarship exam LPUNEST this exam is taken by our university for the scholarship as well as for admission also ,your scholarship will depend on this exam that how much you will score you will get scholarship as per the score like I score 336 /400 so I got 40 % scholarship. There is no lab fees , development fees and other charges . There is 1000 ? LPUNEST FORM FEES . The hostel fees is depend on the seat of the room like the charges for 4 seater ,3 seater ,2 seater ,1 seater are different and also depends on the ac and cooler room. Some of my batchmate fees are different because they score less in LPUNEST exam that's why they pay more as compare to me.Its also depends on which phase you are given LPUNEST EXAM as per the phase also scholarship varies. Scholarship are also depends on which course you have choosen. You can take specialisation in btech cse then you have to pay more for them. When I took admission normal Btech cse fees was 240000 per year but this year the fees has increased to 280000.

Campus Life

4

Every year one India festival held . One world festival also held every year . Hackathon competition also held. Many sports competition at national level also held. Many clubs are running by students which helps to grow in extra curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 4 ,3,2,1 seater room and in two categories ac non AC ( cooler) 1 bed to each student in room 1 almirah to each of them and a combined washroom in each room. Hostel mess provided to the students charges are different.as per the meal students have choosen. You can register by ums for the room and mess . Near college there is pg area also where you can rent a room as per your requirements.

Admission

I choosed government college for me but I didn't score that much in my jee exam to get Btech cse in government college then I choosed upes college in dehradun Uttarakhand which is the best college not that much pressure and population as compared to other colleges but the fees of that college is much high as compared to my college so I preferred to take admission in this college because of fees and I thought that I have to focus on studies and ignore the number of students the. I will do best in my career. You have to give LPUNEST to take admission in lpu university where you can get scholarship if you score good marks.

Faculty

4

There are many students in my course so each faculty handle around 8-9 section in my course and each section contains 70 students around. Some faculties are good some are strict. There are 3 continuous assissment in each subject in which best 2 marks are count . Then min sem exam also except practical courses then end term exam and end term practical in each subject. The. Continuous assissment are of 30 marks except some special courses. Min term exam are of 30 marks and 40 marks but they convert them into 20 marks then 60 marks and 70 marks end term exam which convert in to 50 marks there are also some subject 80 marks end term and practical end term are of 100 marks the practical end term converted to 50 or 45 marks . There are 5 marks for attendance also if you have 90 or above attendance in individual subject then you get 5 out of 5 . Student have to score 30% of the end term and also 40 % weightage overall to pass the exam . If students fails to score marks then reappear comes in that exam then you got 5 chances of reappear exam.if you failed to pass in reappear also then there is backlog in that subject.

Interview Experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
