LPU: Oputunities with Challenges

the campus is huge so you will never get bored, lots of food parks and grounds to enjoy
The gender ratio is fair. you will get lots of people coming from different backgrounds and parts of India, International students are also their
environment is not that much pressurised so it's always a good vibe to stay in the college, plus great library

Dislikes

faculty could be updated to be more practical rather than just bookish knowledge, they teach and just read the ppts
placements could be better, placement policies are not student friendly; they also place majority of the students in low package companies or sometimes they bring companies for the role of SWE then make the students do sales work
administration and management taks could take upto long time to be completed and you would have go and ask them regularly so that they proceed with it, otherwise they forget and leave your concern

Placement Experience:

Students generally become elegible for placements starting form the 6 sem onwards. the companies start recruiting for the internships. Companies like flipkart, moveinsyc, philips, abinbev, whatfix, playsimplegames, optimyzr, etc lots of companies were their. highets packege is 52 laks with guys in microsoft to people barely meeting ends in 3 to 4 laks also. percentage of students getting placed is aroung 40 %to 50%. I wanted to do a full time job in a good company. I got intership from college in a MNC and after that I joined another company through college only for my full time iffer.

Likes

I loved the behaviours of our seniors as they are very cooperative and friendly in nature
The campus is very large and too good I really have a nice memories here.
The ratio between boys and girls are not that much different I think 3:1 approx.

Dislikes

Management is okay i had faced many difficulties when I was a fresher here.
The whole university is totally veg. There's only 1 non veg food court.
There are many internal costs of course (MOOC course) which was not told while taking admission.

Placement Experience:

This is a good placement rate in LPU if you work hard and completing all ppts on time then you can easy get job from the University. The average package should be around 8-10LPA for Btech. CSE although you can easily get internships too.

Know About Lovely Professional University

The infrastructure is damn good. As Lpu shows on its website that it has around 800 acres of campus area.
There are students from different parts of India.Before i came to LPU i have only friends form my hometown but as of now i have friends from all parts of India.
International expose if we want to go abroad for the studies then this option is also provided by LPU IN semester exchange programme

Dislikes

All teachers are not that good. Some teacher are also supporting the local means teachers always give full marks to them.
Overcrowded it's not only the problem to this university if you visit any university then you find that it is overcrowded. It's also effects the placement.
Have a big campus is also a cons because it takes around 20 minutes to walk form main gate to the computer science and engineering building.

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students are eligible for campus placement. All the service based companies are hiring form LPU in bulk quantity of students at lower packages like Tcs,accenturr,wipro and many more. Product based companies are also visiting the campus but they took very less quantity of students.Like amazon,Google,Microsoft, Amdocs,Adobe and many more. Around 70 percents students are getting placement offers from the university. My plan is to go abroad for the higher studies.

An insight on LPU

Likes

infrastructure - the college ambiance and infra is quite nice literally what you expect from LPU , the cleanliness and building arcitect everything is top notch
sports-one of the best quality of LPU might be the sports and gym facilities available here combat sports to indoor games every facility is present here
events- the number of eventes organised by LPU from coke studio to book fairs all are quite good

Dislikes

gender ratio , in class of 67 we have 8 girls and 59 boys which makes it pretty apparent why its bad
guards , it a well guarded campus meaning the campus is safe but sometimes it feel like they almost want to commit some mistake so they catch you and blame you
the schedule , its not about the exams and what we have to do in class but how many random out of blue things and codes we have to write to meet deadlines

Placement Experience:

6th semester and onwards are eligible for campus placements there are over 3000 offers given in LPU last time , and comapnies varried from google microsoft to tcs the package offerred varry from course to course but it wouldnt be wrong to say that averagve of all lie somwhere near 7-5-8 lakhs for highest packages it's either AIML or Cloud computing with both being around 54 lakh if you are eligible for campus placement as in u have a good enough CGPA and you dont have any measure indiscipline against you then you have a 90% chance of getting placed my plans after degree may varry i can go anywhere from higher studies to placement to govt jobs but for now i will study as if i have to go for college placement

Lovely professional university is really professional

I liked whatever they teaching and the teachers. Teachers always support
Hostel is also too good and the food of mess is also best
All the facilities are inside campus you don’t have to go outside.

Dislikes

The subject soft skills personally i dont like it such a boring subject

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies as like amazon bosch and other biggest companies visit and offers as students performance. In 50 students approx 15- 20 studends gets best placement with high package

there is no quiries about college, every thing is perfect this college.
I liked the process of giving information in college app.
now im realizing that this is the best college i choosed.

Dislikes

if 3 cases can be registered your scholarship will be removed.
i didnt like that, this college did not give the exam papers, after the exam.
i didnt like the negative marks in the sem.

Placement Experience:

at final year the student is eligible for placement. for placement also this college trained you well. highest package is 3 crores per annum and average package is 6 LPA... some companies choose the persons they should have above 7.5 CGPA and some are choose above 6.5 CGPA like that...

LPU and it's incredibility

Likes

Infrastructure is very good and attracting.Lovely professional is like a mini city having a big mall with all food chains,6 floors library containing book of every type.More than three auditorium are there for every event conference etc.
Security is there first priority as every time you have to take permission from parents before going out of university, timing are bounded for going out and coming in back.
Education system and faculties are very good here and impressive as top level education is given to every student .All faculties are PHDs here.Lot of diversity is seen in this university.

Dislikes

Mess food is ok not impressive but good to eat as it is fresh but sometimes not tasty enough
Language barriers are there because of students all over the world are studying here
Sometimes Rude behaviour can be faced by other students because of different states and country

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in 6th semester.Vipro, Microsoft,Google,IBM etc. Highest package offered in LPU THIS year was 1 crore and average was 6 lakh.98./. Students got placed this year and this trend of placement is same from many years.My plans are for startup but after earning because startup needs investments.

Lovely professional University

Likes

Rooms are well maintained having air conditioner and fans
There are neat and clean washroom and seprate washroom for girls and boys
Well decorated campus and well maintained libarary

Dislikes

Staff are not coporating having trouble issues with staff
So confusing building you have to take help from political institutions
Reservation system in university is very bad

LPU: my dream college journey

from girl purpose security is good , alot of extra curricular activities are there students who are more in sports and represent college at national or international level special priviledges were given to those students in terms of fee etc.
there are alot of opportunities for the students who are willing to do something by their own like startups etc college also raise funds for their startups and help them in promoting their buisness at a good level.
teachers are very cooperative in class , attendance criteria is very strict minimum 75% of attendance is required to sit in the semester exams otherwise you were not allowed to write exams.

Dislikes

MESS food of the boys hostel 6 is not good at all and hostels are too expensive and for a middle class family it is very difficult to manage all this.
outside locality of the college is not good. locals used to interuppt to much outside the college activites . within 2km of area of college there are more than 4-5 wine shops
duty leaves given for attending events and students leave their classes and they lack behind in their acadmics . everyone should not get duty leaves.

Placement Experience:

my college offers placement like im in 3rd year of my engineering i have paid a fee of amount 16000 under which college provides us an extra prepration for placements under which they helps us to prepare for placements we call them pep classes every saturday these classes held in which we used to learn quantitaive skills , english skills etc.

I completed BTech CSE from LPU back in 2016. You might say that LPU has changed since then, but I am still in touch with my juniors and here is my experience:

Placements: More than 550+ MNCs and startups visit the LPU campus for placement. In recent news, Yasir M., student of LPU, grabbed an offer of INR 3 crore in Germany. The highest CTC offered for the engineering programs at LPU is INR 42 LPA.
Scholarships: People might think LPU is pricey since it is a private colleges, but LPU provides scholarships to bright students with good academic records, good track record in sports, or extracurricular activities. LPU also helps students in the education loan facility.
Research: In terms of research, Stanford University has ranked almost 13 LPU faculty members amongst the top 2% of scientists in the world.
Faculty: The faculty members are from top institutes like IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities globally.

I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-

The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.

This is the engineering placement scenario at LPU.

Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:
