Course Curriculum Overview

4

the course is based on the latest curriculum and everything will be explained practically . practicals subjects are help on computers or laptops in labs they are totally procted . as everything will be explained practically the curricullum helps to prepare for real world applications and for further academics students used to apply for semester exchange programs like for 2 year they used to study here and rest of the degree they complete in abroad.

Placement Experience

4

my college offers placement like im in 3rd year of my engineering i have paid a fee of amount 16000 under which college provides us an extra prepration for placements under which they helps us to prepare for placements we call them pep classes every saturday these classes held in which we used to learn quantitaive skills , english skills etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for the course per sem is 1,20,000 but the scolarship was given to every student on the basis of the entrance exam that is LPUNEST on the basis of the score you were given scolarship of 18% , 28%,38%,48% and this exam held in online/offline mode and after this exam whatever you score that percentage of scolarship will be given suppose you got 48% scolarship than out of 1,20,000 around 74,400 will be your fee for every semenster and this fee will not increase for the entire course . 4000 will be add in every semester fee as examination fee. the infrastructure of the college is very good . 24*7/365 days hospital facilities was provided for girls security is too tight wardens are very strict. other than that doubt clearing session also provided to students for their weak subjects.

Campus Life

5

College provides us a very good infrastructure we have more than 55 building in our college for every different course. talking about social aspects of our college we have a block 13 called as DSW division of student welfare wing under which there are different clubs and departments students used to join clubs according to their hobbies. there are many clubs are dance club , litrary society and many more.

Admission

my college environment is very eco friendly teachers are very cooperative and as students from around the globe are there we can interact with different minds and make a bond from different peoples from around the globe . our coleege has collaboration with many other colleges in foreign countries it also provide us an oportunity to went to study under a semester exchange program under which we can study in foreign country for 2 years. i have applied for GL bajaj college of engineering greater noida but as my percentage in 12th standard is low i cant get admission there i getting admission there through donation but i dont find that worth it and as compare to GL bajaj the campus life is good here so i chose LPU over GL Bajaj.

Faculty

4

faculties are very co-operative they clear every doubt of the students. exams are held twice in a semester 1st is MTT (mid term) and 2nd is ETP (End term examination) along witn that every subject comprises of three CA's continuous assessement the best of two CA's marks are also add in the marks of final result and if the student got any reappear in any subject he/she have 5 chances to clear that subject the fee of reappear is 350 per subject . there are no such faculties i dont like as every sem teachers change and their is entirely 4-5 month of semester and after every semester students of every section shuffle

Night Life

5

Talking about our college inside life boys can roam around the campus at any time 24*7 but girls used to enter the hostel at sharp 7:15 they are not allowed to leave hostel after 7:15 if thery want to goto library then hostel wardens used to send a femake security guard along with girl at 8pm and when they come back at 12pm guard is along with them only. outside life of the college is also good but its not that much safe for girls as loacls used to interuppt to much in the student area as there are too many wines shop there.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
