- Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
- The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
- Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
- The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

- The faculties are good and they are supportivr but some teachers are very strict and they are very serious about the study only rather than other practical activity
Dislikes
- The buildings are not that good which i expected
- The cultural fest is not that good which i expected as the oldest university of odisha
Placement Experience:
Placement is good but not that good as the lowest packagr is 300000 per year and the average package is 600000.
The percentage of placed students are more from IT sector.
The students from CSE branch are placed 100 percent

- THE MAIN GATE OF VSSUT IS AWESOME IT SEEMS LIKE THE INDIA GATE
- I LIKED THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF MY COLLEGE

- THE HOSTELS ARE OUTSIDE THE COLLEGE CAMPUS
- NO LIFTS IN COLLEGE WE HAVE TO CLIMB STAIRS TO GO TO THE CLASSROOM
- THE WASHROOM IN COLLEGE ARE NOT CLEAN AND NO PROPER WATER SUPPLY
Placement Experience:
THE PLACEMENT OF OUR COLLEGE IS GOOD. MANY COMPANIES LIKE INFOSYS, DELOITE, TATA POWER, ADITYA BIRLA, MARUTI SUZUKI AND MANY MORE COMPANIES CAME TO OUR COLLEGE FOR PLACEMENT. FROM 7TH SEMESTER STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENTS. THE HIGHEST PACKAGE TILL DATE IS 17 LPA WHICH IS GOOD FOR A TIER THREE COLLEGE. AND THE AVERAGE PACKAGE IS 6 TO 8 LPA . MORE THAN 70 PERCENT STUDENTS ARE GETTING PLACED PER YEAR.

- Placements are average to good if we see from (3rd tier college point of view).

- Curicullum are messy and some useless subjects are followed.
- Measures for the safety of students should be taken.
- Food quality and hygienic should be maintained.
Placement Experience:
So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google.
From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable.
And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

- I really liked the ambience of our campus and easy to navigate campus, the campus is spacious enough to stroll around
- The various numbers of fine arts, technical and sports clubs are sufficient enough to explore your interests, apart from academics
- The faculty are approachable and also provide mentorships and they look after your academics and personal issues
Dislikes
- The equipments at the labs are pretty much outdated and often shows readings which are full of errors
- The campus lacks sufficient number of water coolers and ill maintained washroom, the washbasins are broken and there is no running water most of the time
- The prices of food items in campus cafe coffee day (CCD) is too pricy and often lack various items and slow service
Placement Experience:
Around 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements
The company visits the campus are jsw, tcs, Accenture, Delloite, Amazon, tata steel, ongc, Aditya Birla, vedanta, rourkela steel plant, etc. The highest package was from Amazon for around 44 lpa and percentage of students are placed are around 80%. My plans include after getting the degree is to sit for oncampus placements

- The college has a neat and tidy campus and is painted once annually
- The tnp cell is pretty active with recent news about internship
- The college campus is currently expanding and ACs are installed in labs
Dislikes
- Aur conditioning not provided in labs and mess
- From second year onwards classroom are real messy with broken fans
- The lab facilities are outdated and outnumbered and each year students per branch is increaed
Placement Experience:
The college has a good placement with avg placement for it being 6.4lpa
The highest package this year was around 20lpa
While some students also apply for off campus placement
The institute is trying to apply as a central university

- Decent placement, rules and regulations .

- Lack of connectivity between senior and junior.
- Quicker completion of the first three semesters.
- Fests and functions takes places within vacation time.
Placement Experience:
Placement in the college are decent good. But within the recent years there is high fluctuations in the placement. Many many new companies arrives every year and picks deleberately a strong percentage of placement. The highest package is 47 Lpa and average is 5Lpa . Percentage of students getting placed are 60 to 70% .

- I disliked the ground maintenance of VSSUT
- The girl to boy ratio is 1:3 in the VSSUT college
- There is no lift in the college and one has to walk the stairs

The average package in our college VSSUT BURLA is around 700000 which is good compared to its course fee. From 7th semester onwards a student is eligible for campus placement. Companies like Deloitte, Wipro,Tata Steel, Aditya Birla visit for placement. Highest package is around 4400000 and lowest is around 200000

- The campus is really mesmerizing. The architecture will make you fall in love
- The placement cell is also great. Our college in known for best placement for core branches in whole odisha.
- The event and fests are just at another level. There are 3 fest in this. ILLUMINA, VASSAUNT, SAMAVESH
Dislikes
- The large campus. Sometimes in summer it feels very tiring to go to college. As our campus os too big.
Placement Experience:
I'm not sure enough but I think from 5th or 6th semester students become eligible for PPO. The most famous companies are CISCO, Amazon, Facebook etc. The highest package in 2024 was 48 lakhs. Which was cracked by a student fron Electronics and Telecommunication branch.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
