- The large campus. Sometimes in summer it feels very tiring to go to college. As our campus os too big.
Course Curriculum Overview
I literally love electrical engineering. That's why I joined this branch. The practical labs will surely prepare you for this.as being an engineering student i won't tell you that this is easy. But you can cover the whole syllabus just 2 days before your exam.
Internships Opportunities
I don't remember the names of the companies but there are so many internship offers that you will get confused about which to join. Some of the internships are free and some are paid about 1-4 k. And each internship come with a stipend of around 5-20k
Placement Experience
I'm not sure enough but I think from 5th or 6th semester students become eligible for PPO. The most famous companies are CISCO, Amazon, Facebook etc. The highest package in 2024 was 48 lakhs. Which was cracked by a student fron Electronics and Telecommunication branch.
Fees and Financial Aid
For now I paid about 89k fees for a year along with academic fees, hostel fees & others. The counselling fees is also included. As for first year this is the fee structure. But for the remaining it is 72k. 41k for academics and 31k for hostel and mess fees. For the other categories the academic fees is half of the original. But the hostel and mess fee is same for all. There are several scholarships provided by oir college. Those are based on merit, reservations, income etc. So don't worry there will always be a scholarship availablefor you despite your category, rank etc.
Campus Life
The sports fest: ILLUMINA The tech fest: SAMAVESH The cultural fest: VASSAUNT there are also several branch fests, Pujas etc. The special thing is in girls hostel there are 2 hostels conducted each month.
Hostel Facilities
In the hostel room (girls) ? 4 beds ?2 windows ?4 cupboards ?2 tables ?4 chairs The mess facility is very good.this place is very low costing. So don't worry about PG fees. The PG fees is negotiable and affordable.
Admission
I was always interested in electrical engineering and as I told VSSUT is the best college in odisha for core branches. So I only applied for this college and luckily got EEE. To get into this college for B.tech you have to appear for JEE MAINS exam and then you can get into this college through OJEE counselling.
Faculty
Talking about the faculties. I can tell that you don't have to worry about that. There are so many faculties that you can't even imagine. They have muktiple faculties for each subject in each department. And they are really so much caring and understandable that you don't have to worry about. There are 2 semesters in a year. And each semester has two exams . 1st ome is Mid-semester exam or mid-term exam. And the 2nd one is end-semester exam or end-term exam.
Night Life
There is gym and library in each hostel. There is also a central library inside the academics campus. For 1st year the night curfew for girls is 6 pm.and for boys is 6:30 pm.there are several cafeterias, restaurantsetc near the college. There are also several picnic and holiday places in sambalpur.
