Likes

The faculty are good and i i’m happy to enjoy their lectures .
I liked the functional programs those are held every year in our university

Dislikes

Their are some issues like as it is in hilly area we faces some issues to walk around the campus

Placement Experience:

According to the management 95% of students from CSE after Graduation get their placement by the USTM and the salary will be like 20k to 30k depending on your skills .They also provide certain companies to apply for job .

The infrastructure of the college that is in the hills
Attendance system is good because it’s strict

Dislikes

The partiality towards certain religion can be seen
Faculties are not that experienced as some of them are directly given job after graduation from the college itself

Course Curriculum Overview:

The infrastructure of the college influenced me to choose. There are practicals and internships which is good. Teaching methods need to be improved. Timing of exams after 6 months and it is fair for everyone.

I like the University environment, as there greenery all around The University.

Dislikes

I don't like some rules and resolution of the university like sometimes they are not allow us to leave the university at any time like have to live whether in break time that is 12 to 1:00 p.m. and after 4

Placement Experience:

Basically before competition of the course the officers will come from different NGOs and organisation and offices to take the students some brilliant student get the placement and others are join NGOs and other government jobs

Likes

Environment of the campus is pleasant plus its quite big.
The faculty are excellent and understandable towards the students

Dislikes

The admin staff is too rude sometimes which can make the public unhappy
Fees are high and they always increase the fees especially the sem fees and exam fees

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is quite hectic as we have to visit agencies, attend programs like orientation programs as a field work and also submit the Reports every week. Two days are fieldwork day every week - friday and Saturday but it changes for some semesters

USTM Beyond Books

The most amazing part of the ustm is the faculty members they are so much lenient and free. They are so convenient and helpful. All the faculty members are young as well.
Secondly, the ustm also pay more attention in employing the students those who did their masters and phd from ustm itself

Dislikes

The USTM focuses on mostly academics other than academics there are less number of recreational activities like general freshers, some big concerts and dont mostly focus on sports
The ustm dont allow females students so much freedom. They are not allowed to stay in campus after 5:00 of clock in the evening not even in the library

Course Curriculum Overview:

The academic and curriculum are pretty good and very diverse. We the students get opportunities to get into the real world situation where everyweek we have to go for field work without supervision by our faculty. In which we have to deal community base practice and agency base practice. This is where the real opportunity is provided. We should look for solutions by our own self. Eventually, we have to write a mandatory report after every two successful fieldwork and if we are to be absent we have to compensate for absent days. The students also get an opportunity to participate in the rural camp which is basically a practical basis with duration of six days where we the students along with faculties have to go for rural camp which maybe community base or agency base so it is so much experiencing and very helpful in our academics. The rural camp are provided to the only last year students of both bachelor's and master's. The timing of the exam is abit tide. Time is all that matters when there is no time for the academic year the sessional exam takes plays continuesly for about 1week

USTM of applied science review

Likes

Infrastructure of USTM is so beautiful and greenery is everywhere.

Dislikes

There is no equality in girls and boys. Hostellers of girls hostel only are not allow in the canteen after 5 pm but boys can, even warden or any other faculty who stay in the hostel they also are not allowed but boys can.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I was in class 12 I want to know about the cells and many microbes that's why i choose the course. The faculty give us some projects to do and they encourage us to participate in many types of competitions. They celebrate every year microbiology day.

My College Time

there are a little more restrictions than others , which I don't feel that uncomfortable. Maybe it's necessary for some point of view. Like we are not able to bunk our classes easily.
It's surrounded with greenery all around.

Dislikes

Our classes start from 9am to 4pm. And we have only 1hour break. I feels so hectic. We use to reach hostel almost after 5pm .
I think they should conduct the practical classes more efficiently.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would give a 6.5 on 10 for the course that I'm pursuing. Coz it's nice and I'm liking. But I think they should concentrate more on our practical knowledge. Because it's totally a applied course. In most of our practical classes, we are not able to perform the practicals in a proper manner. Because the faculty obmy explains the protocal, and the rest we have to do it on our own. Atleast they should have firstly showed us how should we perform, then we can understand better

The central auditorium is the largest in the Northeast region of India.
The campus is filled with greenery and is very big as well which provides a very good campus life to students

Dislikes

In a hot and humid place where the university is situated, there is no provision of AC in the classrooms
Very hectic schedule. The classes are very hectic for any department and course. We never get off classes and that's why it becomes too much for ya students to be there in the campus from morning 9 to evening 4

Placement Experience:

The placement are diverse and comes with packages ranging from 3 lakhs to 10lakhs based on your capability. Some companies which offers placement are Infosys, Microsoft etc. The students getting placements are normally of high percentages such a 85%+ and also have exceptional problem solving ability. My plans after getting my undergraduate degree is to pursue a master degree in English literature, preferably outside the country.

Likes

Department is good, supportive and help every time
Views of University is very mesmerizing.

Dislikes

Fees is very high. Need to be less .
