USTM "THE AMAZING LAND"

My course ( bba) provides me with many opportunities in the upcoming future . It opens opportunities in the job market. The curriculum not only teaches us subjects from our department but also from other departments too making it fun to learn . It prepares us with situations to face in our real world . The curriculum can include more sports activities to make the learning more fun In the 6 month course first sessional mostly takes place 1 month after the course has begun , again after 1 month 2nd sessional, again after 1 month 3rd sessional . The end semester questions are based on our sessional exam papers .

University of science and technology, Meghalaya has many courses . The year wise fees which I pay is 40000/- . During addmission most of the courses have a addmission fees of 40000/- and security of 10000/-. Suming up a total of 50000 /-. The amount differs for different courses . Other fees such as development fees, lab fees, differs in different courses . They also provide fees concession under their wedding foundation scholarship program . Many of my classmates have availed the program . Some of them got 30% , 50% fees concession, some of them even got 100% fees concession. Hence , not studying without fees. The concession mostly depends upon your percentage of hs and hslc examination.

My overall experience with the university is very great . They have many annual and technical festivals. Most of the departments organise events from their side in which whole university and also different colleges and universities from different states participate. Freshers and farewell are also held with a very big celebration and food . Ustm also helds " Northeast general congress (NEGC)" in which graduates and postgraduates can take part and find job according to their eligibility criteria . Their are different forums for the students .

I chose this college on suggestion of my elders brothers and sisters and also the university is close to my house . I didn't apply to other universities as the travelling fees was too much as other universities were very far from my house . The addmission process for the university is simple , you need to visit the website of the university or you can visit personally also to the college. The addmission process takes place in the admin block of the university. Most of the undergraduate degrees don't have entrance exam but the post graduate courses do have exam . The eligibility criteria for the bachelors course is 40% . The addmission process is smooth.

The faculty members are very friendly and they teach in a very good way . They provide us with situations to help us in our real world problems . The faculty to student ratio differs in every departments . There are a lot of good faculties who not only help us in our course but also help in our relationship life problems . But also there are some facilities who are rude and full of themselves. There are 4 exams in total in per semester. The exams consist of 3 sessional exams and one end semester exams Most of the students pass in the students but 7-10 students fail .

The university consists of gym which is accessible to both boys and girls at different timings . The cafeterias are very hygienic and safe . The library consists of different books , which you can read according to your liking . There are 4 hostels inside the campus and many hostels outside the campus tok for both the boys and the girls . There are many Hangout placed for the students such as the amenity centre, backyard cafe and the biological park where while chilling out we can also learn about different plants and species. The university also consists of natural lake where we can find ducks and goose . The locality is very safe to roam around at night .
