St Anthony's Shillong Admission 2026

St. Anthony’s College, Shillong, has a streamlined admission process for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Admission is either merit-based or entrance-based, depending on the courses. For undergraduate courses, admissions will primarily be through the CUET, followed by counselling and verification of documents. Postgraduate admissions are based on graduation scores along with valid scores in CUET-PG in the respective discipline.

Teachers; The teachers in my college are kind enough to help us in our needs. When we need anything they will not hesitate to help us. We are lucky to have such teachers who work for the development of the youths.
Management; I love the way how the college manage certain things especially when it comes to managing time. Of course there are some defects here and there however that doesn't bring any impact to us students.
The college's facilities is really good and I personally have found it to be helpful.

Dislikes

With contradiction to the things I liked , there are some things I personally dislike which is the attitude of the counter workers .

Students view on course curriculum and examination in the college

The course curriculum here in our college is quite impressive and the development of the students here speaks for it. If a student is giving his best he would develop even if his levels or grades are low. The curriculum prepares us in a positive and growing manner regardless of the subject matter a student chooses. If a student want anything, it is available for him or her, for instance if he or she wants to get notes on a subject, there is a library, moreover the teachers would definitely help if they're ask. The timing of the exams are both morning (9.00- 12.00) and afternoon (1.00- 3.00). The exams difficulty level is moferta6as i mentioned earlier it depends on a student's performance, did he or she work hard or didn't. There exists plenty of things which would help the youths to grow mentally, it all depends on their will to do so.

Fees structure of the course and scholarship available in the college

I just appeared this year and we had to pay 1st installment first then we paid our 2nd installment which amounts to 19450. The common fee is Rs 16,550, the software fee is Rs 300, the lab fee is Rs 0 as i didn't attend any science class, the refund fee is Rs 2,000, and one time fee is Rs 600. For the hostel fees I have to pay the 1st installment and also 2nd installment which amounts to Rs 22,300. We have to pay even for the message fee which is Rs 2,500 1st month and the other months it's Rs 2,100. As for the scholarships, I am form a tribe so it's ST in which we have certain scholarships such as Ishan udai or Umbrella. I got the chance to apply for Umbrella scholarship which is much more less than of The Ishan udai scholarship (Rs 50,000 difference). I didn't get the chance for the Ishan udai scholarship due to the lack of my performance in the 12th grade. But I am grateful to God that I got this scholarship even if it's not what I want. The umbrella scholarship is Rs 30, 000 and the Ishan udai is Rs 80,000.

Students view on campus life

There exists certain Social welfare clubs such as NCC, NSS, Anthony Youth club, and many more these clubs doesn't stand just for the betterment of the college itself however it has impacted the whole town (shillong). Centers such as hospitals orphanage etc are being provided necessities such as food clothing and many more. Moreover things such as blood donations are being done

Facilities provided in the college hostel

There are three types of rooms given to the students staying in the hostel named Stephan hall; 1. Three bed room which three people stays in a single room 2. Two bed room which two people stays in a single room 3. And a single bed room for single person The process for hostel registration is online. Laitumkhrah is the location of the Stephan hall hostel near St Anthony's college.

Students view on faculties

The faculties, you say ....okay I would say that most of them are good . Ofcourse i didn't learn their name as they are busy most of the time. There was one faculty member which I have the most respect for, whenever I need anything I would prefer going to her and inquire the things I need. I didn't get the chance to learn her name but I will surely do when I get the chance to do so. She is kind hearted and usually speaks in a beautiful respectful tone which most of the students loved it. There are some of the faculty who are not that good, good in a sense their attitude is too much that the students dislike it and tries to avoid getting in contact with them if thats possible, i guess it is their environment or their experience which made them that way . I pray that they would be in peace state of mind and soul . Regarding the exams the college gives the students to appear two times a year and 5 to 6 times per semester depending on the subject. The exams are neither that difficult nor that easy it's moderate, it depends on the individual's work , how he studies more or less. I

Why students choose this college over any other college?

I applied for two colleges right after my 12th grade. I personally prefer St. Anthony's college instead of St Edmunds college which I did apply fearing that i won't get the chance to be here in this beautiful college. This college has certain things that the other colleges don't, for instance it has its uniform which shows its discipline where as the other colleges don't. This college has a hostel and others don't. This college's facilities or management is really proper which makes it a college which is more relevant than the other colleges. The admission process is online and the payment is 1st and 2nd installment, the students don't have to pay directly.

Night Life

There is a gym in our college named Memorial gym, and three cafeterias . There is a library named central library which consist plenty of books required for academic and knowledge purpose. Famous hostel is Stephan hall which is near the hostel. Wards lake , golflake Police bazaar and many more.

What a guy a student said about St. Anthony’s college.

Likes

The hygiene is properly maintained and there are ample amount of sitting space where students can sit and have talks and fun with there classmates and friends. There are three different canteens as well. Where you get good food with affordable price.
The things i liked about my college is that i met a lot of different people from different backgrounds. The students in the college are very talented. About the the college itself, i really love our campus. It is well structured.

Admission:

I did applied for the same course which is BA music in NMIMS. But i couldn't choose that college because of the affordability. I chose my college over that because of the affordability and also that it offers the same course which i desired to choose

The college was full diverse with people coming from different states.

Admission:

I chose this college as its just 100 KM but the other one was too far. Plus was expensive too as I come from a middle class family. And the course in the other college had a rule that you can't just pursue music and you have to take 3 degrees all together. So if you take BA. MUSIC you have to take BA. PSYCHOLOGY and BA. My story in st.Anthonys college Shillong

Admission:

I originally wanted to go to Delhi university I even got the seat but because of the delay of the Cuet result I had to keep my option open. I applied to maybe 4 college one is from my local place, the other one is b.booruah,st Anthony's and DU. But since my Cuet results were delayed I ended up in stb.Anthonys I got accepted in the other two college which I applied for but since st.Anthony's was my second option I came here. In st. Anthony's due to some network issue my acceptance mail was stuck so I had to come here in the college and talked with the principal after finally talking with the principal I received my email and my admission was done. But if my Cuet result came out a bit earlier I would've gone in DU i guess but never mind I like here too.

There's a sufficient facilities for students to learn on their own way

I applied in Shillong College for BBA, but there was no longer any seats for me as i was a little bit late. I applied for my current college before the college that I've mentioned above. I learnt that St. Anthony's College is the best college in Meghalaya. So I decided to join there. No i didn't get any rejection from other colleges. It was me who decided not to join there. The admission process was same with other colleges and there's no exam criteria to be able to get admission.

Management; I love the way how the college manage certain things especially when it comes to managing time. Of course there are some defects here and there however that doesn't bring any impact to us students.
The college's facilities is really good and I personally have found it to be helpful.

With contradiction to the things I liked , there are some things I personally dislike which is the attitude of the counter workers .

Things you should know about Anthony's college

Likes

The NSS club it is a very useful programme and the PO's are very Good
The college week is my favourite it allow us to get out of our confort zone
It has personality development class which is called as Value education classes

I didn't apply in any colleges in shillong as my first priority is St Anthony's Admission process of Anthony's is of CUET score Cut off it usually depends on the different years there no fixed cut offs

A detailed review on my college (St Anthony’s,Shillong):pros and cons

Admission:

I applied into the university of agricultural sciences, Raichur. I got selected there and was invited for admission but I canceled my admission as it was too far away from my hometown. I got selected there for the degree of b.tech in agricultural engineering which I didn't really prefer too as I didn't want to persue b.tech. The admission process was pretty simple for my college as we only had to apply online though the college website and the merit was based on our 12th grade results. In the end they either emailed us or called us if we got selected for admission in the college
